Since 1987, Child Legacy International has invested daily in Africa’s greatest resource: her people. Realizing that meeting immediate needs was not enough to make lasting changes, we designed and implemented a new approach to humanitarian relief work – the Sustainable Development Model. By providing the local population with access to renewable energy, clean water, proper nutrition, quality healthcare and the skills necessary to maintain and further develop these essentials of life, the Sustainable Development Model is empowering the people of Malawi to break the generational cycle of poverty and despair that has plagued their country.
