Sandbagging and planting of bamboos in the river banks were done as part of the community’s mitigation measures

Participation in forum on Disaster Risk Reduction

International and local organizations conducted study visits in the community to learn on their CBDRM practices

Fiber glass boats are used for evacuation as well as search and rescue when the community is inundated

Life vests and evacuation bags (GO Bags) were produced by the women members for children living in high risk areas

The children were involved in identifying the risks and hazards present in their community

Tutorial sessions on environmental for children were also facilitated in partnership with a university
