BULL CREEK PRIMARY SCHOOL
What a great start to the year it has been for the Pre Primary and Year 1 class in B2. We have lots of new students who are now settled and familiar with class / school rules and expecta-tions. Our theme so far has been Nursery Rhymes and now we are moving on to Fairy Tales. We have been working so hard and practising many different skills. We have been: • cutting • painting • tracing • writing • threading • tearing • gluing • counting • discovering our virtues • reading • practising our sounds and MUCH MUCH more. It is a busy class with lots of learning and discovery. We have included a few photos of some of the work we have completed so far. We hope you like them from Miss Jukic and all the children in B2.

So, if you need some reticulation parts or garden fertiliser Bunnings, O’Connor would be a very good place to go! Just mention Bull Creek Primary School and you may get some ‘extra’ tomato sauce or mustard maybe! Many thanks to the cooks!!

SCHOOL PHOTOS
THURSDAY, 22ND MARCH 2012 School Photo day is coming! Every student will receive an envelope for his or her photo order and payment. Parents are asked to select the photographs they require and return the envelope to the school on the photography day (Thursday, 22nd March) with payment included. Kindy Group A (Mon/Tue/Wed) will have their photos taken on Tuesday, 27 March. Your envelopes are to be returned on Tuesday, 27 March.
Every student must return their own envelope with their order clearly marked, even when the money is put into one envelope for multiple siblings. See your envelope for more information.
Any child who forgets or is unable to bring their envelope on the photo day will have a second chance to order school photos from a proof sheet which will be delivered with the school photo orders, however additional charges will apply. The aim of Harmony Week is to celebrate the cultural diversity that makes Australia a very culturally rich and interesting country to live in. This year the week falls between 18th and 24th March and the school is getting involved in becoming fitter by undertaking games from all over the World. On Friday, 23rd March we are asking if the children could wear something orange (Harmony Week colour) or some traditional dress of their family’s background and also to donate a gold coin, the proceeds of which will be handed over to the Red Cross.
Harmony Food
The School Canteen will be serving food from three different cultures during Harmony Week.
Tuesday 20th March - Singaporean Chicken Rice Thursday 22nd March - Japanese Sushi (as per normal pre-ordered)
Friday 23rd March - Italian Meatball Subs. There will be a free tasting sample of the Singaporean Chicken Rice at lunchtime on Tuesday, 13th March. Please also note that the Tuesday and Thursday items cannot be pre-ordered and will be on a first come
