Hockey Night in WarkworthThere was plenty of excitement in the village last night as the Percy Pee-
wee Bulldogs played their home opener against Norwood before a large
and boisterous crowd at the Warkworth Arena. The team did a great job
organizing a special Opening Night event that included performances by
tribute arsts Stompin Jon and Lorraine Marie, free giveaways, a silent
aucon, chuck-
a-
puck and even appearances by former NHL player ShawnAntoski and Trent Hills Mayor Hec Macmillan. As for the game, the Bull-
dogs came away with a 6-2 win. Congratulaons to everyone involved for
a job well done!

and Marc (Fredrick) Tanner, go through dierent rituals before
hing the ice. Jamie prefers to relax and catch up on all the news
by reading the Warkworth Journal. Marc, who is a self-described
tness bu, does a series of leg stretches to help prevent any
potenal groin injuries. Photos by Maureen OGrady
Instead of focusing on the game at hand, Percy Bulldogs players Mason
Waldie (le), Noah Kelly (centre) and Tosh Jamieson get a lile distract-
ed in the dressing room. Coach Jake Whalen was not impressed. (Dont
worry fellas, it happens to our readers all the me.)
