OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE YOUR CHURCH FAMILY!

ARE YOU PART OF OUR PRAYER TEAM MINISTRY?

WELCOME FIRST TIME GUESTS

BACK TO SCHOOL SUPER SLEEP-OVER!

Mike Baker • Brad Giffin • Bill Griffin • Rod Sershen (Chair)

Bob Smith • Jonathan Snoots • Jeff Wood

There are two ways to participate. If you are on

Facebook, go to www.facebook.com/groups/

TSCCPrayerTeam/ and request to be added. If you prefer

to take part by email, contact Bill Griffin

([email protected]) and he will add you to that

list. The other side of the coin is requesting prayer. Again,

send your requests that you would like to be distributed

to the Team to Bill, and he will inform the team of your requests. Prayer changes

things; let's join together in praying for one another. If you have questions, please

contact Bill at [email protected] or 252.335.2321.

AREA LADIES FELLOWSHIP MEETING

SUNDAY ON THE RIVER IS NEXT SUNDAY!

THE ENCCMF SUMMER BANQUET IS

AUGUST 24 AND THE LADIES ARE

INVITED! The banquet will be held at Christ's

Church of Greenville at 7 PM and Bob

Russell, retired minister of Southeast Christian

Church in Louisville, KY will be speaking. The Towne South bus will need to leave

by 4:30 PM. There is no cost for the banquet. The fare to ride the bus is only $5!

Sign up at The Hub to let us know you plan to attend!

ENCCMF SUMMER BANQUET

The Cleaning Teams are currently in need of

volunteers! Volunteers serve on a team of six to eight

members one Saturday morning each month for

approximately 1 1/2 hours to sweep, mop, wipe down

counters, empty trash, vacuum and clean bathrooms and classrooms. If this

sounds like the ministry for you, sign up at The Hub today!

Volunteers Needed!

The fun begins Friday, August 17th at 8 PM and

concludes Saturday, August 18th promptly at 8 AM. As the kids begin a new school year, what time would be better for a Super

Sleep-Over? It’s going to be an awesome evening spent scooting and skating,

consuming lots of yummy food, playing outrageous games, and of course,

hanging with friends! We will even have a service project where the kids will stuff

some back packs with school supplies to be shared with Towne South’s adopted

school for the year. All kids are encouraged to bring at least one school supply

item to be used in this project.

All attending will need to register. You can do that online at www.tscoc.com

under Children’s Ministry/Events or by filling out a paper form located at Kid

Check or The Hub. Parents or guardians will need to come inside and sign the

children “in” that evening and “out” the following morning. If someone else is

picking your child up, you will need to inform us that evening. This event is for all

kids that are going into K-6th

grades, and we encourage the children to invite their

friends. Each child will need a sleeping bag, pillow, and sweats to sleep in. Don’t

forget your skates and scooters, and if you have an extra, please bring it to share.

No skateboards or motorized scooters will be allowed. (Rip Sticks are allowed.)

Rest time begins at 11:30 PM when the children will be required to be sitting or

lying on their bedding. We will conclude the evening with snacks and a movie,

then rest until our pack-up/breakfast call at 7 AM. A light breakfast will be served

at 7:30 AM. If you have any questions, please see or contact Sissy Giffin at

[email protected]. We need many volunteers for this event. Pease sign up at

The Hub or Kid Check ASAP.

We all need a plan for our money.

Financial Peace University (FPU) is that

plan! It teaches God's ways of handling

money. Through video teaching, class

discussions, and interactive small group

activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to

where you've dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of

debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more! Since 2015,

Towne South has had 37 families complete the nine week course. In those nine

weeks they were able to pay off $84,811 in debt, cut up 110 credit cards, put

$49,237 into savings, and began to be better givers! We encourage everyone at

Towne South to take FPU. Our next class will begin on Wednesday, September

5th at 6:05 pm. You can purchase your materials and register at tscoc.com/

ministries/financial-peace.

Towne South is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood

Drive on Tuesday, August 21 from 3 PM to 7 PM. As an

added bonus, the Red Cross will send everyone giving blood

during the month of August a $5 Amazon gift card! The Red

Cross is in critical need of blood donations to address their

current shortage. Stop by The Hub today and select a

timeslot to donate, and an appointment will be made in

advance for you. You can also register online:

www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/donation-time. Simply enter 27909 in the Zip

Code field and then choose the Towne South Blood Drive to register for your

appointment. (Please note: If you signed up to give during our cancelled July 19

drive, you will need to re-register for August 21.) Thank you for giving the gift of

life!

Anyone interested in serving on Towne South’s Emergency

Response Team is asked to speak with Jonathan at The Hub or give

him a call at 252.312.3232 to see how you can get plugged in.

A Cup of Water! That's our theme when we host the September 10 meeting of

ladies from area churches. Come early enough to register ($5) and be ready for

the meal at 7 PM. You'll hear good singing and speaking from our women and

will have an opportunity to donate to missions in Ukraine. You'll also have a

chance to make some new acquaintances. Please sign up for a responsibility

today, or at least obtain an Interest Form at The Hub--we need you! For more

information, email event coordinator [email protected] or

call 252-312-3903.

Getting to Know You practice after 1st service

YOU ARE INVITED TO FELLOWSHIP

WITH YOUR CHURCH FAMILY NEXT

SUNDAY AFTERNOON, AUGUST 12,

ON THE RIVER AT MACU! What fun

we had at the graduates' party in

June! Another opportunity like that

comes up for us next Sunday afternoon when we will meet on the MACU campus

for fun, food, and fellowship. It all starts at 4 p.m. There will be boating, paddle

boarding, tubing, kick-ball, corn hole, food, and more! We ask that you bring a

side dish to share with everyone coming. Mark your calendar and plan to be

there! If you have a boat that you could bring to the event, let Corbin know by

emailing [email protected].
