Since both t h o aritbu;le%ic t e s t and %he s p e l l i n g t e s t hwve been revised s ince 1929, no d i r e c t comparison can be made i n t h e s e subjects .
I t i s fo.mfi that only 13.2 per cen t o f t h e 1938 men had had no high school i n s t r u c t i o n , ?;kit 39 per cent had j u s t completed high school (12th grade), and t h a t an a d d i t i o n a l 2.7 per cen t had gone beyond t h e 12 th grade.
