Time 5 minutes Start of Class: y Collect homework 50 minutes Introduction of Lesson: y Watch Degrassi: Time Stands Still  25 minutes Lesson Instruction: y Students will read an ar ticle on the Columbine shooting and wri te a ref lect i on connecting the video to the real event. They will discuss what steps could have been taken to have preven ted these event and what atti tudes cause this type of intolerance. Assessments/Checks for Understanding: y The teacher will check for under standing the next day because of  time constraints. Closure/Wrap-Up/Review: y Students will ref lect on the ar ticle and connect our di scussi ons on  bullying to other i ssues of in tolerance.  Self-Assessment: y This lesson will be assessed when it i s completed the previ ous day.
