There are several ways to recycle in Buncombe County. All franchised haulers are required by the County to provide curbside recycling service through the “Blue Bag” system. If you are a customer of a franchised hauler you may recycle plastics #1-7, bottles, cans, as well as magazines, newsprint, and corrugated cardboard at your curb using a blue bag. Blue Bags can be purchased at many local grocery stores (Ingles, Wal Mart). Pickup is provided on a weekly basis on the same day as your garbage collection. You may also take your materials to the drop-off facilities listed on the inside panel.
