Intensive Swimming Scheme The intensive swimming scheme has been a huge success. All the children who have fully participated in the program have made sub-stantial progress. Our three Auswim instructors Adele, Joanne and Brian do a fantastic job and we are grateful to them for their efforts. The instructors have nothing but praise for our students because of their enthusiasm, excellent behaviour and stamina.

Bungwahl’s Got Talent

The SRC initiative, ‘Bungwahl Got Talent’ is this Thursday! The Show commences at 11.30am. All parents and community

members are invited to attend. Cost $2.00 per adult. Reminder for students, entry fee is $1 for one act or $2 for three acts. This is a celebration of our students talent and not a competition as such. All participants will be acknowledged with a Certificate of Participation.

Light Years From Here (LYFH) Both Bodhie and Nathaniel will be participating in the LYFH project this Thursday GLC Forster Campus from 8.30 to 11.00. This will be a busy morning for both students as they are both partici-pating in Bungwahl’s Got Talent commencing at 11.30.

Bulahdelah Show Public Speaking Competition Upper Division will be presenting the speeches they have prepared this Friday 28th October 2016. The Stage Three students will be presenting their speeches between 8.30 and 9.30. The Stage Two Students will be presenting their speeches between 1.00 and 2.00. Two students from each stage will be selected to represent Bungwahl PS at the Bulahdelah Show Schools Night on Wednesday 9th November.

Hunter Youth Primary Ensemble Jhet’s drama group auditioned several months ago to per-form at the NSW State Primary Schools Drama Festival and were successful. Last Thursday saw HYPED (Hunter Youth Primary Ensemble of Drama) perform at the Matinee Perfor-mance at The Seymour Centre in Sydney. Hosted by Jay Laga’aia (Play School, The Lion King, Home & Away), they were one of 13 groups that performed in front of an audience of over 500. The piece that they performed was “I’m So Hungry I Could…” which they scripted and developed them-selves. The audience loved the comedy in the piece and the children did a stellar job, for their first time in front of such a large audience.
