Mistress: No, first wash these dishes then and then only you will get some food to eat. Child Maid: Cries, I am too hungry please give me something to eat. Mistress: Wash it properly (angrily)…………. Recently we have celebrated 67th Republic Day but still after 67 years of freedom the innocent children of the country are victimized They are the victims of child labour. By keeping them away from the education is just like killing them and their childhood. Scene 3 Children working at construction site Children working as a labour in the newly constructed buildings and due to some reason the building collapse. Tuze sab hai pata……………………… As you have seen that the constructors/builders are building the buildings by exploiting the children. Why? Just to save some money……. Even the landlords don’t mind even after observing everything they buy the flats and villas and bungalows built on the sweat and blood of the small children. Scene 4 (beggars in the Local trains) Dehachi Tijori Bhakatichach Theva… Ughad dar deva ata ughad dar deva Pite dudh dole mituni Jat Manjarachi, Mani choratyacha ka re bhiti chandanyachi Still after 67 years of freedom, you will find that children are begging in the trains, station, temples, bus stop, etc. They are kept aloof from the education and the beauty of childhood. Who is responsible????? What to do???? Am I responsible for it????? What I can do????? So, let us all take an oath that we will participate directly or indirectly in the child labour and we

pledge that we will make our country free form the evil of child labour.

The street play on child labour was not just the play it was the message to the society about the burdened child I am very happy to give my feedback on the same line. The street play was almost performed in the three places at Mohol. To my surprise everywhere there was good enough crowd to watch the street play . I have to just say that it was one of the best street play. Students have presented and performed the content of the play systematically. It was well performed.

Power point Presentation On Child labour

Child Labor is the practice of having children engage in economic activity, on part or -time basis. The practice deprives children of their childhood, and is harmful to their physical and mental development. Poverty, lack of good schools and growth of informal Economy are considered as the important causes of child labor in India. To sensitize the same Power point presentation competition was conducted.

Teacher’s Report on Child Labor – A Burdened Child The British Council’s International School Award is an innovative project for the schools that supports for nurturing global citizenship in younger minds and it enriches teaching and learning. For this project we have chosen “Child Labour- Burdened Child” which enlarges students’ spirit of questioning, inquisitiveness, interest, imagination, creativity and lots of fun. They do work with excitement, collect the information, bring out the new ideas, understand the agony of the child labour, sensitize the issues on Child labour. Throughout this project in the Academic Year 2015-16, the whole class of VIII standard was so enthusiastically involved in the Child Labour - ISA project. The activities like Essay Writing, Power Point Presentation and street play were conducted to empathize with the children who are involved in the child labour. All the 8th graders have effectively and enthusiastically entangled in the activity. Being the part of collaboration with the foreign schools is one of the newest experience for me. I have almost mailed N- number of schools to share the project. And at the end I got the foreign school for the collaboration. The most challenging part in it was to collaborate and convince the schools for ISA project. I have almost got to know the number of school across India and understood the statistical data of the child labor in the SAARC countries. Overall the experience was very fruitful .
