Remember my email 12/12/2016

Last year, when the Bureau of Medical Services established

the process of issuing appropriate name tags for all clinical

staff working in our overseas health units, we also

streamlined the credentialing of these providers. The full

details of this policy can be found on the MED Webpage in

the ISO document 1401 LES Hiring Policy. As the RMO or MP

in charge of the hiring process in your health unit you are

required to have the new provider submit the documents,

through the MCI portal, that are required for initial

credentialing: a current and unrestricted license and

diploma/transcript, if applicable. When at all possible,

submit the English translations of these documents if they

are in another language. Ask your new hire about the need

and timing of re-credentialing/re-licensure as required by

local law. Please notify QM (Paula Dolan or Dr. Gil Johnston)

that these credentials have been added to the MCI.
