Regulations
1 ANY dispute as to the interpretation of these Regulations and any other By-Laws, Rules or Provisions shall be determined by the Committee whose decision is final.
2 THE Committee shall have the power to refuse admittance to the Showground of any exhibit or exhibitor for any valid reason it sees fit and such decision shall be final.
3 THE Committee will give every possible facility to exhibitors and every care will be taken in respect of exhibits, but NO RESPONSI-BILITY WILL BE INCURRED BY THE COMMITTEE.
4 In the event of any person occupying any stand on the grounds or any exhibit or exhibitor causing offensive noises or in any way whatsoever interfering with the comfort of the patrons, the Commit-tee shall have the power to cancel the occupancy of the stand and to have the exhibit or exhibitor responsible removed from the grounds.
5 SKILFUL persons appointed by the Committee will be chosen to act as judges of the various sections. The judge’s decision in all cases shall be final except if it be opposed to the Regulations or any other By-Laws, Rules or Provisions of the Committee, or any valid protest or objection is lodged in accordance with the Regula-tions.
6 PROTESTS or objections must be in writing, accompanied by a deposit of 50.00 and lodged with the Horse Committee Secretary within ONE HOUR of the judge’s decision. The deposit will be for-feited to the Committee unless the protest or objection is upheld..
7 PROTESTS or objections shall be heard by the Protest
Committee .

Horse Events Special Conditions
a. A Veterinary Surgeon is ‘on call’ for emergencies. In the event of an accident or injury to an animal at the Show, any exhibitor or competi-tor using the services of the Veterinary Surgeon shall accept full re-sponsibility for such a decision and the Committee/Organisers will not be deemed to have been involved in the matter or the decision. Any cost involved in the use of the Veterinary Surgeon or medications etc. provided shall be the responsibility of the exhibitor/competitor.
b. The age of horses will be calculated from 1st August.
c. The age of riders will be taken from the day of the Show.
d. All Riders must wear a current safety-approved helmet & boots.
e. The Official Show Horse Classes are conducted under Show Horse Council and EA rules as applicable to your Committee. Horse and Rider must be registered.
f. Hunter classes will be run under AHHA rules.
g. If there are insufficient entries in a class to provide competition, the Committee/Organisers reserve the right to combine or delete classes.
h. Judging order will be at the discretion of the organising Committee.
i. Entry Form must be completed in full and the form signed. Failure to complete or sign will result in the entry being returned. HORSE AND RIDER REGISTRATION NUMBERS MUST BE SUPPLIED ON EN-TRY FORM TOGETHER WITH A PHOTOCOPY OF REGISTRATION AND MEMBERSHIP CARD. HORSES MUST HOLD A CURRENT HEIGHT CERTIFICATE FOR OFFICIAL CLASSES AND IT MAY BE ASKED FOR ON THE DAY. IF ALL REGISTRATIONS & DOCUMEN-TATION IS NOT PROVIDED, PAPERWORK WILL BE RETURNED TO
SENDER.
a. The Committee’s ribbons or sashes will be awarded subject to com-pliance with the Regulations and Conditions.
b. Random Drug testing may take place.
c. Waiver form must be signed .
d. The official classes are qualifiers for both the EA & SHC HOTY
Shows.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS—2016 ASCOT:
Nomination will not be accepted for Saddle Classes without recognised adequate performance acceptable to the Agricultural Show Council of Tasmania To qualify for ASCOT both horse and rider must have com-peted within the qualifying period (01/09/15 - 31/08/16 and attend one
Tasmanian Agricultural Show. Exhibitor must be a member of a
Tasmanian Agricultural Society.

Regulations.
This Day is a non-EA/SHC qualifier. Horses/Riders who will compete on Sunday in the Official Classes are not eligible to compete Saturday unless competing in the Showjumping or are eligible for the Pony Club Classes.
ENTRY FEES; $35.00 per each Horse and Rider combination. Entries close ; Friday 11th September 2015
Entry Fees are non-refundable and will not be considered unless a Vet (or recognised & qualified equine practitioner) or Doctors certificate is supplied.
RIBBONS; Will be awarded to 3rd place at the judges discretion.
TROPHIES OR PRIZES; May be awarded to all Champions.
SUPREME CHAMPION HORSE AND SUPREME CHAMPION RIDER; Will receive a sash and prize or trophy.
COMPETITORS; May choose to wear show attire or full Pony Club uniform. Approved helmets and boots MUST be worn.
PONY CLUB CLASSES; Full Formal Pony Club uniform is compulsory—including saddlecloths.
NOVICE; Is a horse or rider that has not won a 1st place in a similar type of class at any show or gymkhana.
PLEASURE; Horse must be ridden in a snaffle bit with no Hanoverian, cross-over, grackle or drop nose bands with no whips or spurs.
CONSOLATION; Is a rider or horse who has not won a ribbon in any event at the Burnie Show today.
JUDGES DECISION WILL BE FINAL In all events.
COMPETITIORS MUST CHOOSE which events they wish to compete in as the rings will not be held over for competitors in other rings—except for Champion classes.
THE COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT to combine or divide classes if entries warrant.
ALL SECOND PLACE GETTERS must be on standby in case of eligibility for Reserve Champion.

Any rider seen on the day riding off the lead will be disqualified and will forfeit any placing received. A BEGINNER rider must not have competed in an open ring at any pony club or open Competition. A beginner rider is not eligible to compete in any other ring, or in the show jumping arena.
