Abigail
In the forest there was a small house. Spot was lying down in his warm brown basket which was positioned in front of the blazing fireplace; Spot scratched his spotty brown ear with his paw. His owner’s daughter was doing her homework and singing a song very badly and loudly. Her father was watching the news. “A storm has struck Cornwall; The Coast Guards says any boat owners are not to go out!” says the news reporter. At ten o’clock the storm was getting louder and louder until it was unbearable. Spot started to whimper and scratch the door. He heard footsteps as they came closer; Spot started to scratch the door even more. The door opened and Spot ran through the door. He got to the front door and jumped through the dog flap. Spot walked through the town; his fur was flying everywhere and the storm was quite hostile. Spot walked through the dark, mysterious forest. There was an owl sheltering in a tree, it looked very cold. Spot kept on walking through the forest until he got to the beach where he saw an octopus swirling round. The octopus had wicked red and orange eyes and a blue body. Spot got into a boat and started to row.
He rowed past the evil octopus who didn’t notice a thing. Spot rowed to some rocks which were scattered all around the sea. Spot heard a sound, a crying sound; he listened again still the same sound but even louder. Behind the rocks, Spot saw a mermaid with orange hair and a pink tail. She looked really upset; she didn’t notice Spot who rowed up in the old rowing boat. The octopus was getting even angrier and splashed about. She finally noticed Spot sitting on the rock. Just then one of the tentacles pushed the mermaid and Spot and they both toppled into the water. They spun around like a hurricane. They landed with a BANG, as they hit the rock bottom. Spot started to breath heavily, he didn’t realise he was breathing under the water. He and the mermaid swam for their lives; the mermaid broke the silence and whispered “I am called Abigail, “I have lived undersea for 15 years after falling off a cruiser when I was 17 years old!”After a few hours of swimming they found this island with big bold golden gates. On the Island they found, there was a Mermaid School, Mermaid cars, Mermaid cinema and loads of mermaid houses. The houses had roofs that were made out of old upside down boats. “Abigail” called a voice behind them. Spot looked behind but didn’t see anybody. Next thing he knew Abigail had vanished and was nowhere to be seen. Spot doggy
paddled his way to a bunch of mermaids who were whispering. “Do you know where Abigail went?”questioned Spot. Spot hoped that they would have seen his friend. “No!” replied a girl who looked about 7 years old. Spot went around asking people but they all said that they hadn’t seen Abigail. Spot saw the octopus that had started the storm; the evil octopus glared at Spot with its sharp, evil eyes; the octopus swam away through the dark mist. Spot watched the octopus float away. He thought about Abigail and where she went. He had no idea where he was going or were Abigail went. Suddenly there was a tap on Spot shoulder; he spun around to find the 7 year old mermaid who he talked to first. The mermaid took a deep breath. “My name is Lizzie, I didn’t tell you the truth because I was threatened not to tell you!” “I know where Abigail went; but I can’t tell you here!”she whispered. Spot followed the young girl to a small house. “I saw Abigail being dragged into The Cave; nobody goes in the cave because there is an evil octopus that lives there who keeps people as slaves; if anybody is rude to him he will feed you to his shark guards.” “The reason I am telling you this is because my father and mother were both kidnapped by the octopus when I was about 1 years old.” “I will come with you and save Abigail and my parents if there are still alive but
we can’t go alone we need most of the town to help.”she whispered. “Ok you can help but I don’t want you to get harmed!” answered Spot. When they got most of the town to help and swam quickly to the cave. The sharks were guarding the cave doors, but as soon as they saw Spot growling and looking ready to charge they let him through. They saw the octopus sitting on old bones of mermaids and animals that had been kidnapped. Spot saw Abigail tied up to a wall. Spot charge past the octopus to get to Abigail. Abigail wiggled out of the rope and ran out of the cave. The octopus got very angry; he grabbed a spear and knocked Spot over and tied him to the wall with his evil tentacles. Lizzie grabbed another spear and ran up to the octopus and stabbed him in the heart. Spot moved around and set himself free. Then a dark glow from the octopus, then Spot found himself going back in time. Spot landed in his basket.

Adventure on the Waves
One day a dog was walking in the dark, smelly and
disgusting woods until he came to a beautiful, rose
smelling beach. He kept walking then he found a pretty,
smooth and unique boat so he clambered in and he set off
on his wavy adventure. In the middle of the adventure he
found something sitting on the rocks in the distance so he
sailed closer and closer until he came so close he could
reach out and touch it, he did reach out and touch it and
he could! It was a slimy half fish half person, it was a
mermaid with lovely blue eyes and silky brown hair so he
let her in the boat. The dog had to keep filling the boat
with water and it got heavier and heavier in till it sank into
an underwater world the dog was scared but the mermaid
was amazed. “Wow!” said the mermaid “Ahh!” said the
dog but then he was not so scared anymore. “Hhaaaa!”
said the dog “This is beautiful.”
said the mermaid but then she saw a different land with
an evil king witch, if they didn’t do as they were told or
tried to leave the land they were put into a gloop that
made you into a statue so he would rule the world. They
swam away quickly just before he could catch them so the
dog dropped off the mermaid back at her rock, got back
Rovers Tale of the Sea
One spooky stormy night, a dog called Rover, who was black and white and
had a red collar, was walking into and deep dark forest. He heard things like
twit two wooo, dooo nooooot eeeeenter. He heard twigs and leaves
crunching under his paws then he suddenly started smelling a smoky smell.
There was a moments silence then suddenly heard a BANG! He jamp with
fear and then he ran to the beach, he found a boat which was covered with
fish blood, it stank but anyway he pushed it out to sea and jamp in the boat.
Meanwhile, under the water, an octopus was making the water rough then
suddenly Rover heard a voice calling, “Help me!” that voice belonged to a
mermaid called Layla, she had blonde flowing hair, blue eyes and a sparkly
rainbow tail. He rowed over to her in the dinghy.
He let her into the boat but since she was a mermaid he had to keep
scooping sea water to make her comfortable, that was making the boat
heavy. Suddenly, they heard a slam and the boat started to rock. Layla said,
“It is the strongest creature in the world, an octopus.” The boat sank. Layla
said, “ Hold onto me so then you can breathe under water.” so they swam.
They could hear the octopus gaining on them, then they swam through a
magical portal and just as the octopus was about to swim through the portal
it closed. They heard a loud SLAM! Then they saw the octopus lying
unconscious on the bottom of the sea.
The magical portal lead to a land full of treasure boxes and in them were
bunches of gold, silver, rubies and emeralds; every precious stone you can
think of. Then they saw an Emerald Castle it was beautiful and it glistened in
the sunlight. Then suddenly a merman called King Triton swam out of the
castle holding a gold collar and a gold tiara with a large emerald surrounded
by lots of topaz stones. It also glistened in the sunlight. Finally he spoke, he
announced, “Three cheers for the dog that brings back my little princess, Hip
hip hurray, hip hip hurray, hip hip hurray!” then Layla shouted out with glee
“Daddy!” Rover was confused. Were they meaning him? Suddenly, King
Triton beckoned Layla. (Which Rover now knows is King Triton’s daughter.)
Then Triton whispered in his daughters ear, “ Go present that dog with this
gold collar then meet me in the main hall, I have a surprise for that dog.”
So that is what Layla did I got a gold collar and she got the gold tiara; turns
out she is the princess of the ocean. The surprise was to live under the
ocean and I also got asked if I wanted my photo taken so then they could
make statue of me and then write Rover the hero dog and of course I said
yes.
Now I am the royal dog of the ocean. I can also breathe under water; turns
out the gold collar helps me breathe under water and I even have my own
doggy throne. Layla and her little triplet sisters Lauren, Louisa and Lizzie play
with me a lot. Lizzie is the smallest, has brown straight hair with pigtails, she
had hazel eyes and a smooth red and blue spotty tail. Louisa was the second
youngest she had red wild hair, green eyes and a green and yellow stripy tail.
Lauren has jet black hair, bluish greenish eyes and a pink and purple starry
tail.
Still me and Layla and sometimes Lauren joins in. We go up to the surface
and sometimes I find makeup and accessories that belonged to humans and I
give it to Layla. Once in a while I like to have a short stroll on the beach.
Once Layla even convinced her dad to give her legs just so she could explore
too. But now Layla is a lot older and she married to a merman called John
who has brown hair and hazel eyes and an orange tail. They had two children
called Bob and Ella.
Ella has dark blonde hair which is dip dyed violet. Ella has blue eyes and
freckles and she is 14; her tail is blue with big dots of glitter. Bob has black
hair he has a bright green tail he has geeky glasses and he is 10. I go and visit
Layla a lot but sometimes Ella has her friends over for the night. Sometimes I
try to leave but Ella always grabs me and tickles me. She also holds me still
while her friends cover me in makeup then Layla comes up to her room and
then she takes me down stairs and takes the makeup out of my fur. When
Ella and her friends fall asleep she takes me home and then it happens all
over again. Sometimes I don’t actually go home because sometimes it is to
stormy so I hide under Layla bed until she knows it’s safe to go home.
Sometimes Ella is still awake so I hide to avoid being covered in makeup;
don’t tell Ella!

The Great People Rescue
One dark and gloomy day a boy named
Billy, a girl named Ivy with a magic dog
called Maxamus went on a giant smooth
blue boat. They sailed across the wet
shimmery sea. Until... an annoying orange
octopus made a hole in the bottom of the
boat and a mermaid with a teal tail went
in the boat and it sank down to the
bottom of the sea. The mermaid said sorry
to Billy, Ivy and Maxamus, “It’s ok but
can you show us a place we can stay?”
said Billy and Ivy. “There is a hotel
called Sand-wick across the street or you
could stay with me?” said the mermaid
called Summer. “We will stay here at the
hotel but every morning come and see us,
ok?” barked Maxamus “Ok” said Summer.
“How did Maxamus talk?” said Summer.
“He’s a magic dog!” said Billy and Ivy.
“Let’s go!” they all said at once. When
they got to the hotel it was yellow and
made of hard sand, but when they got in
it was just the life with swimming pools.
But then it struck midnight so they
thought they’d better go to bed. When
they got up the stairs they saw their
room it looked warm and so comfy. Billy
slept on top bunk with a blue blanket,
Ivy went on a cabin bed and Maxamus slept
on a magic carpet. When it turned morning
Summer swam up to their room and knocked
on the door and said “Hi it is Summer the
mermaid!” said Summer. Ivy opened the
door. “Morning come in!” said Maxamus,
frightened.
“Why are you so scared?” asked Billy and
Ivy.
“Sharkkk!” said Maxamus.
“Stay in the hotel and be quiet, ok?”
said Summer.
“Yes we will.” replied Ivy and Billy.
When the shark was gone Summer said
“You’d better go home.”
“We should probably go home... but we
could visit you again!” they all said at
the same time.
“Bye bye!” they all said. The next day
Billy made a new boat and they are still
sailing to this day.

Under water
One blue moon in a gloomy forest there were dry sticks lying
on the ground. The trees had scary faces on them. Just then a
dog jamp out of the trees and landed on a twig, the sound it
made was SNAP! He ran out of the forest onto the beach, he
could hear a noise that sounded like splash and then again
splash so he ran to the sound. It was an octopus splashing the
water. In the distance he could see a mermaid on a rock. The
dog jamp into a brown, wooden boat that was on the beach.
He pushed the boat into the sea and rowed away to the
mermaid. The sea was bumpy, rough and there were lots of
bits of drift wood but the dog got there after all. The mermaid
said I know where there is an underwater kingdom. The dog
said I can’t breathe under water, the mermaid giggled she said
“of course you can” the dog shacked his head. The mermaid

Enchansia
There was a dog named Misty. She was always finding ways
to keep clean. Every step she took, she led a trail of silver,
shimmering, glitter. That’s how people could tell where she
had been. Her coat was the most beautiful thing; shiny, gold,
priceless. She went for a gentle walk and found herself on an
old, yet full of life, looking beach. There were lots of wood
and seaweed washed up from the wavy sea. The fresh air
from the sea smelled wonderful. She found a painted boat
with paddles and thought she could have a go at making shu
shi (even though he had never done it before). The paddles
were multi-coloured and were a bit too long for the dog. He
left the noisy beach and paddled away. When he got going
there was a big storm, there was a whirlpool forming,
thunder and lightning, blasts of wind.... but then, all that
stopped. In-front of the boat there swam a mermaid called
Jessica. Her hair was a lovely pink, her scales on her tail were
glimmering in the sun and she had a beautiful singing voice.
She said as softly as ever,
“Jump in the water, I will show you a special
underwater kingdom for mermaids and mermen”.
“Misty said No, my coat will get all wet and I can’t breathe
underwater!”
“Well if you eat this leaf of the plant of magic then you
can breathe underwater.”
“I can’t. Can you smell my magic? See the glitter, feel my
coat? Do you recognise me? I am Enchansia, Zamzar’s puppy
but Misty’s my nickname. I can’t go because if I did, my magic
would turn black”.
“No I cannot accept that, I was sent here by the ocean
rulers to get you down here. They need you, we all need
you”. If you don’t come I will put a curse on you.
“I will come and risk getting itchy skin and my magic safe.”
So she did. She leapt out the boat, ate the leaf and sank. She
swam as far down as she could and then she reached an
underwater water kingdom. She saw lots of hidden treasure,
ruby, diamond and emerald jewels, treasure chests and big
diamond castles. It felt like she was having a dream. Misty
lost Jessica on the way but found her standing next to a
merman that looked like the king. He said with a very strong
voice “WHAT IS THIS DOG DOING HERE?” Misty looked
confused, she was invited and almost forced to come. She
couldn’t refuse so why was he cross. Jessica said “She
followed me here father, I told her not to but she didn’t
listen” Misty was trying to swim up to the surface but the
bad magic was inside her. She had some dust so she splashed
it over her and swam fast because the dust might run out.
She got up to the boat and rowed back to shore. Misty’s
friend Whiskers was looking for cats at the shore and spotted
Misty. He took her to her home and helped her to recover.
