Healthcare Practice HNC Duration:One year course full-time


Course Overview:This course will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of the core issues and principles in Health and Social Care as well as the skills required for work in the sector. It will build on existing knowledge and experience whilst developing and

expanding your skills and practice over the programme.

Career and Professional Development:There will be opportunities to progress onto a degree course, higher level apprenticeships or gain employment.

Course Overview:Explore the exciting opportunities available within the Hospitality industry with a Hospitality Management qualification. This course aims to develop your skills whilst partaking in a range of college and industrial based activities, building up your knowledge and experience and gaining qualifications. You will demonstrate

competence through complex activities, which requires technical knowledge.

Career and Professional Development:These courses have clear progression opportunities. Once completed you may choose to progress onto the Level 6 top-up degree programme or directly into employment as you will have acquired the knowledge and skills to embark upon a career at management level, within the Hospitality sector.

Course Overview:This course has been designed for those who wish to pursue or advance their career in SportHealth and Fitness.

You will have the opportunity to complete an Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction or Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training,

a qualification which will further develop existing knowledge and skills in gym instruction, to enable you to pursue a career in personal training.

During the course you will gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research,self-study, directed study and workplace scenarios. Career and Professional Development:Those who successfully complete the HNC may wish to progress to a Higher National Diploma in Sport

and Exercise Science, an undergraduate degree or employment in Personal Training, Lifestyle Coaching, or the Nutrition or Education industries.

Course Overview:If you are currently working as a teacher or trainer at a recognised training or educational establishment within the education and training sector (former post-14 sector) and looking to progress your career, then this course will help you on your way. Upon successful completion of this course, you could go on to gain

Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status.

Career and Professional Development:During this course there will be opportunity to develop the skills needed to play a full part in teaching and curriculum development. The course allows you to focus on your particular subject specialist area, alongside general teaching in the lifelong learning sector and a significant amount of your learning happens in your place of work which allows you to put theory into practice.

Course Overview:If you are interested in progressing into a career teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector, including sixth form and further education colleges, adult education and a wide range of other training and educational settings, then this course could be ideal for you.

We welcome applicants with industrial skills and/or relevant

academic qualifications and a passion for teaching and training others.

Upon successful completion of this course, you could go on to gain Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status.

Career and Professional Development:A significant amount of your learning takes place whilst on placement. There will be the opportunity to benefit from observing experienced teachers, gain practical hands-on experience and receive mentoring to help you develop into a successful andeffective teacher.
