STEM Academy
The STEM Academy is a magnet program for sixth through twelfth graders who are interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This is a college-preparatory program located on the Nimitz Middle School and Lee High School campuses. In the context of a small, diverse learning community united by common interests, the STEM Academy creates visions of future academic and career possibilities and enables students to translate those visions into the realities of college graduation, informed citizenship, and international leadership.

Engineering & Technologies Academy
The Engineering and Technologies Academy at Roosevelt High School offers students the opportunity to excel in both academic and elective courses that are not offered in any other San Antonio districts. Examples are Bio-Engineering, Home Technology Integration, Pre-Engineering Manufacturing, Geographic Information Systems and Long Distance college courses. Students are instructed in an integrated academic environment where they will develop working skills and become prepared for higher education opportunities. This academy offers up to 30 hours of dual college credit while attending high school.

Agri-science Magnet Program
Located on 15 acres of the Madison High School campus, the Agriscience Magnet Program is a model for urban agriculture education. The mission of the AMP is to prepare ninth- through twelfth-grade students for agribusiness careers through a program that addresses the targeted occupations of the region and to offer courses of study that provide a direct career path for higher education. AMP offers six majors in agriculture including animal science, environmental science, agriculture communications, mechanized agriculture, agribusiness marketing and plant science.
