Provimi is a world leader in animal nutrition. With

approximately 70 plants in 27 countries, it was recently

acquired by Cargill in order to offer the broadest product

portfolio within animal nutrition sector on the globe.

Provimi has combined two innovative “in-memory technologies”

for their BI-solution. Instead of relying on traditional BI alone, in

which aggregate historical data is compiled to view the trends,

Provimi focused on solutions that helped them improve their

operational excellence.

The two new technologies they combined are the “Every Angle”

system for process analytics and “SAP-HANA” for real-time

data processing. This combination gave Provimi the advantage

of better and faster operational decision-making in all business

processes, leading to better customer service levels and at the

same time lower costs and better management information.

daily much faster and more flexible and act more effective on

bottlenecks and stock mismatches.

Since animal feed is a fresh-product, actual data and fast

responses are critical. In any ERP system, data reliability is one

of the upmost important topics to run the business processes

efficiently. However, this topic is often largely underestimated, or

pushed away since it is also quite a complex topic when it comes

to large volumes of data. The Every Angle system proved to be

a strong support in Provimi’s data reliability and it was able to

detect a big part of the polluted data in just a couple of minutes,

based on the build-in supply chain analytics and logic. As a result,

Provimi could release over a million Euro of stocks by clearing

(old) sales orders, forecasted requirements and reservations.

Like all companies, Provimi is focused on minimizing costs

while maximizing cash flow. Every Angle helped to manage their

working capital better and more efficiently. Flexible stock

projections and bottleneck detections helped to focus on the

right issues to eliminate waste.

To improve service levels, Every Angle also enabled Provimi to

analyze the procurement side of the process. Improving the

reliability of master data and transaction data lead to increased

service levels for Provimi customers.
