Bikaner and Kota are 330 Km. apart. Ajay starts from Bikaner (to Kota) at the speed of 60 KM per

hour. Goti Starts from Kota (towards Bikaner) at the speed of 75 KM per hour. When and where will they meet? Ajat starts at 6.30

and Goti starts at 7.30 AM.


Solution . . .

• From 6.30 to 7.30 Ajay alone was travelling. In one hour Ajay travelled 60 KM. At 7.30 both are travelling, so

• Distance / Total Speed • = (330-60)/(60+75) = 270/135=2 hours• Thus they will meet at 9.30 AM• They will meet at 180 Km from Bikaner or

150 Km from Kota. Answer.


Goti goes to afterschool at 10 KM per hour then he reaches 6 minutes

late. When he goes at 12 KM per hour, he is 9 minutes early. What is

the distance between his house and AFTERSCHO☺OL .

SOLUTION . .

• DISTANCE / SPEED = TIME • X/10 – X/12 = 15/60• (12X-10X)/120 = 15/60• 2X =30 • X =15 ANSWER.

• X and Y are sisters and X is younger to Y. What is the present age of X?

• Statement 1: The ratio of present ages of X and Y is 4 : 5

• Statement 2: After 4 years, the ratio of ages of X and Y is 14: 17
