    Business Intelligence and ward profiles

  • What is business intelligence?

Business Intelligence (BI) is about turning raw data into meaningful and useful information

  • Vision

To embed business intelligence within the Council to create an agile

organisation able to transform today’s services and plan for the future.

  • Supporting the organisation

    • There’s not one version of the truth

    • Information is difficult to find

    • There are multiple sources of information

    • Its time consuming to find the information

    needed

    • What is the most up to date information?

  • Task

    • Working together identify and write down the

different types of information about Medway

that would help you in your roles

    • Identify the top three pieces of information that

    would help your table

  • Using Business Intelligence

 link directly into a range of different data sources

automatically update the underlying raw data

    categorise, count and visualise data

share this information with the relevant teams who

    need to see it

 interact and drill down into the information

use data that we hold to make intelligence led

decisions and help our residents and customers

have a better experience of council services.
