We have a big choice of meals from all over the world. An average meal will cost you between the €4 and 11€. Economics:

As people need to eat every day and like the taste of different kind of nationality I would have an aim of 20% of the population of Barcelona who will visit my restaurant and will buy my food. I want to have my Restaurant at a good location, which is reachable for everybody.

As I want to price my food very competitive I will see still people in my shop even if people do not have much to spend and still want to have a nice meal.

I want to have a few qualified cooks who can prepare the different kind of meals, might have some students who can sell the meals and on this way I want to keep my employees cost low by just having a few qualified employees and the rest on part time basis.

-How could the following affect my company?

o Change in technology: I need to buy better things for my kitchen, maybe put TV’s inside the restaurant, music etc.

o Change in the economy: I need to make the food cheaper but still that I can pay my things.

o Change in my industry: well if it’s popular to use some products that other restaurants use or colors that are really fashionable.

Product and Services: Our main product is food that is ready to take away. In our restaurant we have ready meals from all over the world in a variety from spicy to sweet which will invite a lot of foreigners to my restaurant to take my ready meals, like Japanese, Mexicans, Italians, Chinese etc. Every month we will promote a very delicious meal from a country for a very competitive price. All the meals we prepare are healthy and from a good standard

-Describe the most important feature. What is special about it?

The food we got is Japanese, Thais, Mexican and Italian and every month we put one country extra.

-Describe the benefits. That is, what will the product do for the customer?

The food we make is mostly healthy and cheap, people can just take it home and eat there or if they want they can also eat in the toko (restaurant). Also you can call us and ask if we can bring your order, or order on the Internet. The prices we ask are:

Customers: My aim is to get the most customers of a age between 15 and 28 years like students as these people will have mostly a low income and not too much to spend. The people come from the middle class because we have food from all over the world and people from the middle/high class have take its already. Most of them are single and are studying or just started their jobs. These people don’t have a lot of time because they life on their self’s and maybe are working in the day and studying at night. Mostly we talk about men customers because women are more caring about theirselfves then men. They like to play sports in their free time or just go to a game and date with some girls. The women are like to watch movies and relaxing because they work so hard they want to be alone when their free or going out with their friends.

Competition:

There are not so many restaurants in Barcelona where you can find this concept of sales. There are some but it is quite expensive and they are located in areas where there is not so much population. Take away restaurants like McDonalds or Subway are mostly fast food and for example at Subway they only have bread. The only take away restaurants Barcelona has is ‘wok I wok’ where they sell food out of a wok, you can chose your own ingredients and then they will wok it for you or ‘Nostrum’ it’s a take away services but it’s just don’t taste so fresh. And they use a lot of plastic what is bad for the environment.

Advantages: colorful, new, cheap, different and good locations. Disadvantages: new, different.

Promotion: I want to have flyers which will be given out at for instance the ramblas or.. and little flyers on walls about “EAT ME NOW” also I want to make a webpage at Facebook, Hyves, YouTube, Twitter etc. I want that people see “EAT ME NOW” as a place for students and single people who always have to eat alone or don’t have a lot of money for good food. The promotions have to be cheap. It’s going to be more mouth-to-mouth promotion and some flyers. The Name eat me now attract people and they want to know what it’s it. Also you can make a blog with recipes and invite people with a code that they can have a discount.

Pricing: I want to sell a meal between the €4 and €11 and a promotion meal every month for a standard price. If I can keep my prices low I will get a lot of customers who like the concept of taking away ready meals and on this way I can compete with the competition, which I can have in Barcelona.

Proposed Location: I want to have “EAT ME NOW” somewhere at a big central place like Placa Espanya or Estacion Nord or Sants. That people just can take their food right after they came from school of work. The location is really important I think because I know some little toko’s where you also can take your food with you and they are at a really wrong place, for example en Born, it’s not a good place because it in small streets where people almost cannot find it! My restaurant needs to have a space of around 25m2. In this I will have a kitchen, cooling units to store the food, a showcase to show my customers the choices we have. Some space where people can wait for their order etc… Maybe in the future if Eat me now goes good we can starts a few in other places like on Passeig de gracia or at Fontana, placa Catalunya, just really big places where a lot of people and students come. I want to have daytime from 11h00 – 15h00 and evening time from 19h00 – 23h00 opening hours and in the time we are closed we can prepare all the meals.

Sales Forecast: Best Guess: I think the first year the company will not going so fast because people in BCN don’t know this concept really well so I need to do a lot of promoting and maybe paying Spanish people to eat at EAT ME NOW because then Spanish people see that its full so they want to try it to. But I think after a few months people will come and taste and will be always coming back. It’s the same with Wok I wok. First people were like what is that but now people like the concept of taking away and now their coming back. Worst case: That people think that EAT ME NOW got bad quality food or at the wrong place. And that as the first year, the second year will repeat.

Personnel: I want to have 4 cooks, and I want that they have notice of the job they do because the food need to be good, healthy, hygiene and good quality. They get €1200 per month paid. I want to have mostly students because you can pay them less then adults and they can learn something about it, actually I want to help people who don’t go to school, how don’t got a lot money to spend for a school or food, so I can help them for saving something and helping them a future. They get €600 per month paid.

Suppliers There is a big shop close to the airport that called ‘Makro’ you can buy there a lot of big packs of food and in BCN there is a Chinese shop who got a lot of food from all over the world, and its close to my restaurant so it will not cost me a lot to get it.
