SURPRISE BIRTHDAY If you have been a member at Second Baptist long, then you know the ministry of Barry Stover. We marvel at how he remembers names, numbers and dates. His faithful ministry of birthday blessings does not go unnoticed. August 18 will be Barry’s 68th birthday and we want him to know how thankful we are for his ministry. There are two ways you can help show

appreciation. First, on that Sunday we plan to place the words of Barry’s birthday blessing on the screen and quote it back to him as a church family. Second, Barry is a graduate of Southwestern Seminary. We would like to provide a scholarship to a student with disabilities in his honor. BUSY BLANKETS The Women in God’s Service (WInGS) have “Busy” blankets available for any family with a loved one with dementia. These blankets can help soothe dementia patients by keeping their hands occupied. Blankets have been donated to local nursing homes but they are also available to anyone in the church who would like one. Blankets are available in the church office or you may contact Betsy Dugger 731-796-5466.
