ACCOUNTING Accounting is a systematic and comprehensive process of reporting business events for the purpose of planning, control and decision-making.

Besides the traditional accountant post in all industries, graduates in accounting and finance are especially in demand in the investment, banking and tax industries.

BUSINESS The study of Business combines elements of accountancy, finance, marketing, organisational studies and economics.

Ample opportunities in the areas of business administration in any company.

FINANCE Finance is the practice of funds management, or the allocation of assets and liabilities over time under conditions of certainty and uncertainty.

There are many job opportunities in this field including corporate finance, financial planning, investment banking, insurance and real estate.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

Human Resource Management is the management process of an organisation’s workforce or human resources.

Human Resource (HR) jobs involve any aspect of an employer’s workforce – recruitment, hiring, training, employee benefits, compensation, job enrichment, relocation, performance, termination and outplacement.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

International Business comprises all commercial transactions that take place between two or more regions, countries and nations beyond their political boundaries.

Employment in businesses and organisations involved in foreign trade. Career opportunities can be found in accounting, finance, marketing, transportation and logistics and management information systems.

MANAGEMENT Management in all business and organisational activities is the act of coordinating the efforts of people to accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources efficiently and effectively.

To assume the role and responsibility of planning, directing and coordinating supportive services of an organisation.

MARKETING Marketing is the process of communicating the value of a product or service to customers, for the purpose of selling that product or service.

A career in marketing can take you to various directions. There are many opportunities in the areas of advertising, brand management, market research and public relations.

CAREERS IN DEMANDA general Business Degree provides education on a variety of topics and enables you to gain a broad-spectrum education in business. In contrast, a Business Degree with a specialisation in a particular subject – such as Finance, Management or Marketing – enables you to gain advanced knowledge of your chosen subject matter with a well-rounded familiarity of a standard business curriculum.


PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITIONThe Business programmes at Nilai University have been recognised by professional bodies to have met their internationally high standards. Proof of these recognitions are the paper exemptions into the professional qualifications from the following professional bodies:

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting and Finance

The Nilai University BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance is an ACCA Accredited programme. Graduates of the programme will be able to obtain the maximum 9 paper exemptions from the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).

Graduates are able to obtain 8 paper exemptions from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Graduates are able to obtain 7 paper exemptions from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Graduates are able to obtain 6 module exemptions from the Registered Financial Planner (RFP) qualification offered by the Malaysian Financial Planning Council.

Our partnership with AXP Solutions Sdn. Bhd. afforded our students with hands-on training in computerised auditing through the use of Audit Express, an audit software widely used by audit firms in Malaysia and Singapore. Students who successfully pass their proficiency examinations are awarded with the Certificate of Proficiency.

BBA (Hons) in Human Resource Management

The Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management will award the Professional Certificate in HRM (PCHRM) to students who have completed the HRM for Practitioners Course.

BBA (Hons) in Finance

Graduates are able to obtain 6 module exemptions from the Registered Financial Planner (RFP) qualification offered by the Malaysian Financial Planning Council.

Students are given the opportunity to take the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP ERP) course. SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP ERP) is an integrated business application that helps organisations manage everything including financials, human resources, procurement, inventory, manufacturing, logistics, sales, customer service and marketing. Students will learn how the following business processes interact with SAP ERP software:Sell - Fulfilment Make - Production Track - ControllingBuy - Procurement Track - Financial Accounting Store - Inventory and Warehouse Management

Diploma in Business Administration

Students are provided the opportunity to obtain the Professional Diploma in Corporate Administration (PDCA) awarded by The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA).
