SPECIAL FRESH JUICE COMPANY

IntroductionThe purpose of this report is to analyse the business background of Mr Alex Au’s

juice store and some business strategies in order to introduce his products to the customers in

Hanoi and potential consumer in Ho Chi Minh City. The report will also classify the general

trends on sales per products. Furthermore, Nielsen’s Ten Heuristic will be used to determine

some interface design features of Jamba Juice Website that Alex might use to improve the

usability of the website and online sales. Moreover, the report also suggests some

recommendations which promote sales in social commerce and mobile commerce to increase

profits. The report divided into three parts: Introduction, Business Discussion and

Recommendation.

First of all, the pie chart in figure 1displays the total profits in all the Alex’s Fresh Juice retail

outlets in Hanoi in 2015. Detailed analysis showed that the Acai mix, Tropical banana and

Blubana accounted for majority of profits with the revenue of Acai mix contain 18% of the

profit while Tropical banana provided 15% for the profits and Blubanais about 14%. Based

on the list of fresh juice and ingredient shown in Table 1, all Acai mix, Blubana and Tropical

Banana products contain banana, milk, yogurt and honey. This indicated that these

ingredients play major parts in creating products that meets customers’ needs and wants.

However, the graph also identified other three disfavoured products Triple berry mix, Havana

and Summerset. The Triple berry mix revenue contain only 5% of the profits, Summerset

revenue accounted for only 8% of the profits and Havana is only 7%. All these three juices

contains slightly familiar ingredients to the most popular juices but the unique ingredients of

Triple berry mix such as mixed berries, Passionfruit of Havana and Strawberry of Summerset

did not show good impression to the customers due to their flavours were not popular and

well-known by most Vietnamese customers. Overall, sales of the Acai mix, Tropical banana

and Blubana were higher than other products due to their unique ingredient and flavours.

Interface Design Features

Based on the design defects from Jamba

Juice Website, some elements taken from

Nielsen’s Heuristic included visibility of

system status, user control and consistency

will be determined. Firstly, the information

about the price and ingredients of each

products were not shown showed that the

visibility of the websites not keep users as

customers informed about the major ideas

needed. Next, the information in Jamba

Juice displayed in many different ways indicate the site was not followed the standards in

designing size, type of font as well as colour. Therefore, it is necessary for the Alex’s

business improve their website by making it more consistent in designing the same font types

and colour. Lastly, the user controls of Jamba Juice website are limited which is very hard for

customers and company to interact and communicate with each other. Based on the

defections of this website, Mr Alex should add undo and redo feature to his site so that

customer might be able to fix their minors mistakes when communicating with the company.

Marketing Strategies

In order to introduce Alex’s product to the society, it is highly recommended that using Web

2.0 is effective since it is very useful and important in boosting sales for the business (Sharon,

G 2009). Espcially, Social channels are engagement tools that can further drive sales by way

of improving brand awareness, customization, reputation, credibility and value to a consumer

or business (PYMNTS, 2015). For illustration to social media, there are more than 2 billion

people using Facebook (Jim, E 2014).This show that Facebook can be the most effective

means for marketing of many businesses. Moreover, Companies can communicate and reply

customer’s messages via their official Facebook page, which can build a good relationship

between companies and customers and increase brand loyalty.

RecommendationMr Alex should devise more price discount strategies

When the demand increases, the price of products increase so it is effective that Company

should consider in gaining customer by offering discounts up to 10 to 15 percentages for

specific event such as New Year or Christmas or when customers purchase a large number of

products. Furthermore, offering discount by invitation to play some online mini games also

attracts customers and gain brand loyalty.

Mr Alex should focus on promoting product on Facebook Social media

As mentioned before, Facebook is an engagement tools that can further drive sales. Facebook

is a way to of improving brand awareness, customization, reputation, credibility and value to

businesses or products. Facebook is a potential place to advertise products due to more than 2

billion people users in many countries. On the other hand, Alex Au should redesign Fresh

Juice Store’s official site by displaying some information related to products, price and some

healthy tips for using juices. It would be reasonable to create customer’s sub page so that

customers are able to give feedback about the products and company.
