You are going to have to make a worthy contribution if you hope to be reasonably compensated. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23) You can be both a doer and a talker and still chalk up major accomplishments. However, it stands to reason that if you are more industrious and less vocal, you will get more done. SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 22) Although you won’t have any trouble recognizing the opportunities at your disposal and what they could mean, you’re apt to fall short on exploiting them to maximum advantage. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23- Dec. 21) Be prepared to make concessions if you hope to work out an important agree- ment with someone. If you don’t, both parties will do OK independently, but neither side will get what it really wants. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22- Jan. 19) Something propitious could work out with regard to your career, leading to advancement or increased earnings. Unless you handle it properly, it won’t happen. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) You will be far more popu- lar with your peers — especial- ly members of the opposite gender — if you use your charm and humor to make your points. Logic is good, but a bit cold. PISCES (Feb. 20-March 20) Guard against being exces- sive in all that you do. All the wishful thinking in the world won’t get it done. GEMINI (May 21-June 20) Everyone, including you, will have a much more enjoyable time socializing with a cozy, comfortable group. If you’re the one doing the entertaining, keep the number of friends to a minimum. CANCER (June 21-July 22) Even though this should be a nice day to spend quality time with your family, it still might not live up to your expectations. Just the Ten of Us, “Flip-ping Out,” Bravo, video.bra-votv.com

If Jeff is a real human being, the world needs the cleansing effects of a wayward meteor to reset the

balance. This guy is so over-the-top, so self-centered, so obnoxious - we can’t stop watching him on these video clips. Here he asks his employee and ex-boyfriend if he can move in with him (and his new boyfriend) for a few weeks (or more). And did we mention he also expects them to accommodate his housekeeper and his pets?

Weekly Evil - Why Batman Sucks, “Lewis Black’s Root of All Evil,” Comedy Central, www.comedycentral.com

This bit of “Weekly Evil” shows that it doesn’t take long for the bloom to come off the rose, and even though “The Dark Knight” seems to be the hugest movie ever, that doesn’t mean everyone liked it. Comedian Myq Kaplan

(pronounced “Kap-lan”) takes issue with Batman being a “rich white man trying to solve everyone’s problems.” He also has problems with the Bat’s sparring partners - a cat, a penguin, jokes and riddles.

Solution is on page 3

Worn out with nowhereto turn? If that sounds about right, give yourself onemore shot, and you’ll have some luck soon.

It’s better for you whenyou aren’t always able to get what you want right away.Waiting is a virtue, even when you don’t think it is.

It’s best for you to lie lowright now. It could be you’ve stepped on someone’s toesand didn’t know it.

Right now isn’t the besttime to be working for anyone other than yourself. Youhave your own motivations, and that’s all that matters.

You’d rather engage in somethingyou enjoy than be forced into doing something you hate.Keep on doing what you like, as you like.

Keeping up with all therules is so tedious, yet you continue to do it. Only youcan answer why.

It’s better for you to handlethings on your own, but you’re going to get a hand nomatter what you do, so you might as well just let it happen!

It’s better for you to helpyourself when you can rather than complain about whatyou don’t have when you don’t have it.

You’ve had the chanceto go out on a limb. Now you have to ask yourself: Wasit worth it? Maybe it was; maybe it wasn’t.

Something old, something new ... you know how this one goes, right?Try giving this one a fresh look.

You’ve forgotten how youknew all those answers, but it doesn’t matter much now, because you did.

It’s better for you to forget anyof this happened, but unfortunately, you can’t. So it’s best tojust keep moving forward. You can manage that, right?

WEDNESDAYHistory’s Lost & Found7:30 a.m. on HISTIn this episode, the focus is on the most famous lion suit of all — the one Bert Lahr wore in “The Wizard of Oz.” Another wonderful tidbit is found — and this one changed the world — the first transistor (shortened form of “transfer resistor”). Rafa

BY MARK PASSARO

FULL NAME:Rafael Nadal Parera

BIRTHPLACE:Manacor, Mallorca, Spain

BIRTH DATE:June 3, 1986

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Has five Grand Slam titles; at the sameage, Federer had only one ... those five are most amongSpaniards ... holds a 10-4 career mark over Federer in finals, including 4-2 in Grand Slams ... won first ATP match as a15-year-old ... joined Mats Wilander as the only players towin French Open on first attempt.

I t’s been quite a sporting year for the Spaniards so far, what with their country winning the Euro 2008 soccerchampionship and countryman Carlos Sastre riding to a

Tour de France title. It’s enough to forget (well, not quite) the exploits of one

Rafael Nadal, the left-hander with the lights-out tennis gamewho enters the U.S. Open this week on a two-Grand Slamwinning streak. After all, what tennis fan – sports fan, actually –can forget the performance Nadal and archrival Roger Federerput on last month at Wimbledon, an epic four-hour, 48-minutefive-setter that many consider the greatest match of all time? The 22-year-old Nadal called it a “dream” after winning his firstWimbledon title over the man who had made asecond home on Centre Court by taking theprevious five championships.

Now Nadal can’t simply be known as the king ofclay. The four-time defending French Open championproved his grass-court prowess in a big spot to become thefirst player since Bjorn Borg in 1980 to pull off the FrenchOpen-Wimbledon double. And if that didn’t elicit a huge fistpump from Nadal, the fact that he enters Flushing Meadows atNo. 1 in the world probably did. He officially took over thethrone last week after accruing more points than Federer sinceWimbledon. He had been No. 2 since July 2005 behindFederer, who held the top spot since Feb. 2, 2004, a record 237consecutive weeks.

Back home, Todd discovers Kevin is really aminion of Dr. Scorpious, an evil madscientist. Unlike many episodes, when Fleemco dispatchesreplacements, the agency declinesthis time; Todd is on his own.

Still, I wonder what it would be like ifFleemco were in my speed dial.

Bell Lab scientists, using a paper clip and two slivers of gold for contact points, invented it in 1947.

THURSDAYStand by Me12 p.m. on AMCDirector Rob Reiner delivers a poi-gnant coming-of-age film about the friendship between four boys in

1950s Oregon. After learning the general location of a missing boy’s corpse, the friends embark on a journey to see the dead body, learn-ing about courage and death along the way. Based on the Stephen King novella “The Body,” the 1986 comedy-drama stars River Phoenix, Wil Wheaton, Jerry O’Connell and Corey Feldman.

FRIDAYDiscovery Project Earth9 p.m. on DISCWhen Hurricanes Katrina and Rita ravaged Louisiana, thousands of acres of mangrove forests were wiped out. The tremendous swath of denuded land is the perfect real-life laboratory for scientist Mark Hodges’ idea. He’s using aircraft to drop tens of thousands of canisters, each holding a sapling. It’s a quicker way to repopulate the forest and help re-turn the land to where it was before the ferocious storms.

SUNDAYHarry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban4:30 p.m. on FAMHarry, Ron and Hermione (Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Wat-son) are back at Hogwarts and again are faced with unimaginable evil. Added to their concern is an escaped convict (Gary Oldman) who is on the loose and apparently com-ing after Harry.

“Personally, I like this show. The kids’ characters and artlook different. The show is atad bit predictable, though.”

“I thought it was good. Thewhole exchange thing startedwith Riley, and nothing reallyhappened with her, but it’sfunny.”

You can watch with kids, andthey won’t learn anythingthey’re not ready to know.

s a terminally pragmatic adult, Irarely look at cartoons and wonder“What if?”

But Disney Channel’s “The Replacements”provides fantasy fodder. All Todd and Rileyneed do when someone annoys them is callFleemco, and awful people are exchanged forcool ones.

Siblings Riley and Todd (voices of GreyDeLisle and Nancy Cartwright) live with theiradoptive parents, sexy spy Agent K (voice ofKath Soucie) and dopey daredevil DickDaring (voice of Daran Norris), and have asnazzy, brilliant car with a British accent(voice of David McCallum). In “CanadianFakin’,” airing Monday, Aug. 25, the entireepisode is devoted to one story where Rileyyearns to be a foreign exchange student.

Riley leaves, and Kevin arrives. Soon Kevinhas infiltrated Todd’s circle of pals andwormed his way into the parents’ hearts.Feeling dejected and furious, Todd runs away.

Meanwhile, Riley has a bad landing inCanada when luggage and a bowling ball fallon her head. Up north, her dreams come true. She meets an adorable boy who loves her, andhis parents have a candy business.

Back home, Todd discovers Kevin is really aminion of Dr. Scorpious, an evil madscientist. Unlike many episodes, when Fleemco dispatchesreplacements, the agency declinesthis time; Todd is on his own.

“I am completely willing tobuy into a supersecret agencythat takes away the nastypeople and replaces them withlovelier folk. And, I would loveto be the mom who looks likeAgent K, but mostly, I want aconvertible that’s beyond cooland sounds like DavidMcCallum.”

Still, I wonder what it would be like ifFleemco were in my speed dial.
