Finance is essentially the management of money in the financial and capital markets. FINANCE: •Deals with investment decisions (e.g. portfolio selection, mergers and acquisitions) and corporate financing decisions (e.g. dividend policy, debt and equity structures, and lease decisions) within those markets. •Involves determining the values (or prices) of financial assets and making decisions in the face of uncertainty in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. •Is concerned with the development of risk-hedging strategies as an important mechanism to manage adverse movements in share prices, interest rates and other financial uncertainties. OUTSTANDING CAREER OPPORTUNITIES A career in finance is as rewarding as it is challenging. Graduate opportunities exist in investment management, the financial sector, and in the finance department of large corporations. Recent graduate positions include Asset Management Analyst, Credit Analyst, Financial Analyst, Financial Planner, Funds Management Analyst, Investment Analyst, Investment Banker, Risk Management Analyst, Stockbroker and Wealth Management Analyst.
