The MBA Tour Advantage

Meet the Team!

From The MBA Tour’s Managing Director,

The MBA Tour is pleased to announce our new schedule for the summer and fall 2012 and spring 2013 recruiting seasons. We are very excited to have additional events bringing our total global tour schedule to 46 events. We are pleased to present new destinations and website services that will provide you with more opportunities to differentiate your program. We are looking forward to your participation with The MBA Tour this season!

Changes to our Event Schedule

Beginning with new cities and tours, we are adding Jakarta,

Indonesia and a Middle East Tour to the schedule this year. Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia and one of the fastest growing economies in the world (see page 7 for more detail). The Middle East Tour will take us to three new locations: Lebanon, The United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. We will also return to Istanbul during the Middle East Tour. Along with our public events across the Middle East, the tour will also include private events with sponsored students from an education foundation in Abu Dhabi and two multinationals in Saudi Arabia. The MBA Tour has teamed up with US Education Group of Watertown, Massachusetts to organize this tour. The US Education Group has organized tours across the Middle East for over 5 years. Finally, leveraging the success from our 2011 US and Latin American events, we are also keeping the timing of these events in July and August, respectively.

Event Format Changes

We will continue to schedule school presentations in all cities where we are hosting events with fairs. In Houston, we will introduce a new Open House Conference. This format will leverage our information intensive panels and individual school presentations and combine them with an open house instead of a fair. The open house will group schools into breakout rooms to facilitate better interaction among representatives and candidates. The MBA Tour will assign schools in groups that our market research shows will facilitate more visits from candidates. The open house format will help with better

information exchange among school representatives, alumni, and prospective students. The MBA Tour will also serve light snacks and refreshments during the open house portion of the event.

Innovative Marketing Outreach

Over the past four years The MBA Tour has expanded its social media marketing capabilities globally. Again this year we are offering schools a Social Media Package that focuses on helping schools create viral content that is easily shared and increases your school’s brand awareness. Package content is promoted through The MBA Tour’s leading social media platforms of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and newly added Google+. More details about the Package on page 6.

Enhanced Website Services

For students, we continue to upgrade our website university profile displays and search function to include showcasing multiple programs within a school. To ensure the information on your program is up to date and easy to manage, we are developing an auto input data system that takes information from public domains and presents it to you for your approval during tour registration. We will also present information on multiple MBA programs including full time, part time and executive.

This year we are introducing a new matching program called MeetUp. MeetUp is a service that helps you easily search and schedule meetings with top candidates of your choosing from registration. The MBA Tour will encourage all candidates registering for our events to upload their resume to enhance the search. In 2012, The MBA Tour is offering MeetUp free of charge for every event.

I am looking forward to your success on the road with The MBA Tour!

Best wishes,

Peter von Loesecke, CEO and Managing Director

2012-2013

Differentiate your Business School brand through our comprehensive event formats:

Individual School Presentations: Admissions representatives regard the presentations as one of our most useful event formats. The presentations are an opportunity to showcase your unique program aspects to a group of

prospective students. You have 30-35 minutes in a private room to highlight the features of your program. Typically there are three to six other universities presenting in concurrent sessions. Individual School Presentations are now offered at all events in 2012 for USD 500 per event. (Except Round Table Workshops & Middle East private events).

Panel Presentations: Panel Presentations are 30-45 minute sessions that cover valuable business school admissions topics and answer a wide range of MBA applicant questions. Schools have the opportunity to participate on the panels and share

topic advice with a large group of prospective students. Any participating admissions representative can be a panelist; spots are first come first served. Topics in the past include: How Admission Decisions are Made, Managing Your MBA Career Search and Financing your MBA. The MBA Tour provides guiding talking points for all panels.

MBA Fair: The Fair is strategically placed at the end of our MBA conferences. This allows candidates to first gather information from the Individual School Presentations and Panel Presentations in order to prepare for speaking one-on-one with you at the fair. At the MBA Fair you and your alumni have the opportunity to meet with a large number of applicants in a short period of time.

Networking Receptions: In many cities we offer a reception for you and your alumni at the conclusion of the MBA conference. This is an opportunity to network with colleagues and reconnect with alumni.

Round Table Workshops: Round Table Workshops are highly personalized and interactive; they represent the most unique MBA Tour event format. These events accommodate a select and focused group of highly qualified applicants and a small number of business schools to maximize interaction. Candidates sit at a table of five to ten people. You will spend 10 to 15 minutes interacting with candidates and then rotate to present at the next table. You therefore have the opportunity to speak to every candidate at the event, maximizing outreach in a short period of time.

Event Formats

Open House Conference: (2012 Houston only) This format will leverage our information intensive panels and individual school presentations and combine them with an open house instead of a fair. The open house will group schools into breakout rooms to facilitate better interaction among representatives and candidates. The MBA Tour will assign schools in groups that our market research shows will facilitate more visits from candidates. The open house format will help with better information exchange among school representatives, alumni and prospective students. The MBA Tour will also serve light snacks and refreshments during the open house portion of the event.

With few exceptions, the MBA programs included in our events are taught in English.

Our Selection Process

The MBA Tour limits the number of business schools on a tour to ensure that each program has good exposure at our events and receives the same level of high service that we aim to provide. Priority is given to returning schools. New schools are selected on the basis of several criteria:

Global Qualifications:

• Length of time in MBA market

• Offer a Full Time MBA Program

• Offer a campus-based MBA program

• Hold non-profit status

• Have already traveled with us within the last 5 years

Local Qualifications:

• USA: AACSB accreditation

• Europe and UK: EQUIS, AMBA or EFMD accreditation

• For those countries without regional MBA accreditation: all global qualifications must be met; must be recognized and respected by peer schools in country; must have local certification or accredited partner program

• Will draw qualified students to the event that otherwise might not attend

In some of our local markets, there are schools that will add value to our tour events by targeting specific populations of students. For this reason, we consider them “Schools of Opportunity.”

Schools of Opportunity would be invited to the market in which they are located:

• Inside the US, these are city-specific markets

• Outside the US, these are country-specific markets

Examples of Schools of Opportunity in the US include:

• MBA programs geared towards underrepresented minorities

• MBA programs geared towards women

• MBA programs with unique academic or practical opportunities

• Local MBA programs that offer “at home” opportunities

Please note: If you are a school applying to one of our tours for the first time, your application will be reviewed by our Advisory Board, and we will notify you of the decision. Our policy is to allow schools that have participated in our past tours to apply by the deadline, and then if there is space remaining on the tour you are applying for, your application will be considered at that time.

Business School Representatives

Business School representatives attending the events organized by The MBA Tour must be full-time, campus-based professionals and should have extensive knowledge of their programs and admissions requirements. Throughout the tour, university representatives have the opportunity to collaborate in panels and school presentations that orient students and colleagues to current information and trends. It is important that the person designated by the university to travel with us be capable of contributing to an ongoing professional dialogue with prospective students and local colleagues about admissions issues and innovations in MBA programs.
