The topic: Shipping & Receiving Answers from: George Kenney, Sr. Director, Engineering & Distribution You Asked: How does Princess House come up with delivery fees? PH Answers: Princess House products tend to be large and heavy, which increases shipping costs. We actually subsidize the cost of delivery, meaning that we pay part of the shipping cost ourselves and don’t pass it all along to Customers. When the total cost of a Princess House item is considered (including shipping), Customers are receiving great value in terms of quality and the cost of shipping. You Asked: Why doesn’t Princess House roll the delivery fees into the cost of the product so there’s no separate fee? PH Answers: Princess House compensates Consultants based on a percentage of the regular price of items sold. Adding shipping fees would complicate the calculation and require a change in compensation. We don’t make money from delivery fees, so there are no profits to pay out on them. You Asked: Why does UPS sometimes leave packages when no one is home? PH Answers: Usually UPS leaves the package unless they suspect the environment is unsafe or if the shipper requested a signature. When submitting orders, you can opt for Signature Required service via UPS, in which case the packages would only be left if there was someone home to sign for them. Since this is outside of UPS’s normal delivery charges, there is a nominal $6.25 fee for this service. You can also sign up for UPS My Choice ® (its free!) to help you manage deliveries. You Asked: How does Princess House come up with delivery fees?

PH Answers: Princess House products tend to be large and heavy, which increases shipping costs. We

actually subsidize the cost of delivery, meaning that we pay part of the shipping cost ourselves and don’t

pass it all along to Customers. When the total cost of a Princess House item is considered (including

shipping), Customers are receiving great value in terms of quality and the cost of shipping.
