Create, edit, and save vector paths, and convert a path to a clipping path to prevent pixels outside it from being printed. Create and save swatches, gradients, and patterns to fill image areas. CPR for Healthcare ProvidersNow offering two options for completing the American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (HCP) certification.

Vocational skills credit is awarded for courses numbered 500–999, and such credits do not apply toward baccalaureate or career-oriented programs. Local Anesthesia for the Dental Hygienist (Hybrid)Discover the essential skills and knowledge for safe and effective administration of lo-cal anesthesia in dental hygiene practice. Discuss the integration of anatomy, physi-ology, and pharmacology as they relate to the administration of local anesthesia. Clinical sessions with Liz Jinks are included to develop competency and confidence in the techniques of administering local anesthesia. The online instruction must be completed prior to the lab session.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation for the Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant (Hybrid)Registered dental hygienists and expe-rienced dental assistants will receive a comprehensive introduction to conscious sedation with the opportunity to practice the administration and monitoring of ni-trous oxide in the clinical session with Kim Pankau. Topics include areas of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and dental emergencies. Lectures consist of 10 units of online study and submission of answers fol-lowing each unit, which must be completed prior to the lab session.

Prerequisites: Illinois Dental Hygiene Licensure or 1,000 hours of assisting experience, and cur-rent CPR certification.

Essential Oils for Emotional HealthJoin Sara Holmes in a discovery of how essential oils and aromatherapy affect well-being. The mind/body connection in health and wellness will be explored. Tra-ditional and complementary therapies for emotional health issues will be discussed. Emotional health topics include anxiety, stress, excessive worrying, lack of mental focus, depression, grief, anger, and mental fatigue. Enrollment is open to both licensed massage therapists and lay people.

This course may be applied towards fulfilling the State of Illinois requirement for Licensed Massage Therapists to complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years. NCBTMB Continuing Education credits also available.

PNMT for the Arm and HandThis one-day intensive session examines hand and arm issues including repetitive strain injuiries (RSI) and other problems seen in everyday clinical practice. Arm and hand problems are extremely interesting and clearly in the soft-tissue domain, yet many therapists are not well familiar with the anatomy and possible pathologies. This is a complex area, but who better to treat it than people who use their hands as the tools for healing? Doug Nelson will take you to the next level of effectiveness with RSI problems. You will assess specific muscles for individual involvement and treat each appropriately.

Participants are required to bring their own massage table.
