Ute John is an EU public affairs professional with 20 years of experience at Daimler AG. Atpresent, she works as Head of Trade and Sustainability for Daimler AG in Brusselsadvocating international trade, investment and sustainability issues of relevance toDaimler’s business and sustainability strategies. In this context, Ute works on EU trade andinvestment relations with the US and China, global value chains, the multilateral tradingsystem as well as trade and climate related topics including circular economy and carbonborder adjustment. Since the beginning of 2021, Ute also coordinates advocacy andoutreach on sustainable corporate governance, sustainable finance and EU Taxonomy. Ute has recently taken over the Chair of the ICC Trade and Investment Commission. She isfurther engaged in the following business associations/federations: American Chamber ofCommerce to the EU (Vice-Chair of the Sustainable Corporate Governance Task Force),BusinessEurope and the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA).
