I have long believed that a choir made up of our Butterflies families would offer a perfect platform to touch the hearts and minds of decision-makers and educational systems together with the community.

At Butterflies Haven, we provide care and support for families, children, and teenagers affected by autism and asperger’s syndrome. Our organisation offers a variety of outlets for young people and their families, with the most recent project being the Butterflies Voice Choir.
Butterflies Haven have got together with Keynsham Action Network to form a new choir and to film its creation.
Music of all varieties can nurture, calm and inspire us especially when we are creating the music ourselves within an organisation where we feel safe.
The Butterflies Voice Choir project has been added to the services of Butterflies Haven to enable all family members and friends to come together with a fun approach guided by a professional Musical Director with the aim of public performances.
Butterflies Voice Choir is making a movie! Tilly and Lewis, from Bath Spa University are filming the choir. Since December, the duo have attended some of the weekly rehearsals, and they’ve been blown away by the choir’s progress!

On December 17th, Butterflies Voice Choir held their first performance in Waitrose, Keynsham, after just five rehearsals! Joined by branch manager, James Baldry, the choir entertained shoppers with festive carols and raised money for future endeavours.
All the local shoppers were very generous with their support, and helped the choir develop their confidence for their next live performance.
