Stay cool, save money and earn rebatesIt’s easy to stay cool and comfortable this summer with help from Xcel Energy. We can show you how to keep energy costs under control, and achieve greater efficiency and environmental benefits with our rebates and programs.

Need a new AC System? Our Central AC Rebate Program is designed to generate maximum energy savings for our customers.

Whether your air conditioning system is old, in need of minor repairs, or you are looking to install your first AC system, you may want to consider installing a new, qualifying high-efficiency unit.

You must use an Xcel Energy registered AC contractor to be eligible for a rebate. Visit our website to view a list of registered AC contractors and to learn more about program and rebate requirements.

Qualifying units can earn up to two rebates: $500 for trading in your old qualifying AC unit and an additional $350 to $600 rebate for installing a new qualifying high-efficiency unit!

For more information and current rebate programs, please visit xcelenergy.com/CO-AC

How to get the right sized unit for your home

An estimated 60% of AC systems are oversized, which results in using too much energy and causes the AC systems to wear out faster than normal.

A good contractor will do a ‘load calculation’ to make sure you are receiving the right sized AC system.
