What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount?

The United States has the highest column by far. I think this is so because we are one of the richest developed country in the world.

What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount?

Haiti has the smallest column. This country has always been a developing country, and it is poor. Now that it has been hit with a horrific hurricane, Haiti is even worse for the wear, so to speak.

Look at the 5th and 6th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question.

New Zealand and Ecuador are the 5th and 6th ranked countries. New Zealand is developed and Ecuador is developing. New Zealand is just ahead of Ecuador, therefore it is developed and Ecuador is not.

Look at the 7th and 8th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question.

Pakistan and Bolivia are the 7th and 8th ranked countries. They are developing. They need to keep steady businesses in business. Therefore more people will get better jobs and make more money.

Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption.

Canada stands out to me because despite it’s many areas of undisturbed nature, it has a high GDP per Capita. It buys lots of food and objects which allow it to grow in the act of consumption.

What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount?

Ireland has the highest column. I think this is so because Ireland is one of the richest countries. They can afford to train many young physicians.

What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount?

Haiti has the lowest. That is because Haiti is one of the poorest countries. They can’t afford to train many young physicians.

Canada and Ecuador are the 5th and 6th ranked countries. Canada is developed and Haiti is developing. They are a large leap from the 4th – 1st ranked countries because they simply do not make as much money.

Look at the 7th and 8th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question.

Bolivia and Pakistan are the 7th and 8th ranked countries. They are developing. They need more people with more money and education to live there and help people get good jobs such as being a physician.

Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption.

Haiti stands out to me because it has so small a column. It must be that way because they are so poor. Compared to the U.S., they do not have many at all.

The united states has the largest column. The is because it is so rich. We have many job opportunities, allowing for people to buy many things.

1. Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption.

United Kingdom caught my eye. That is because it is the second in height after America, but it is really short. It doesn’t have as much impact as U.S. but it has much more than Haiti.
