Big Ben is really named “The Clock Tower”; Big Ben is the nickname for the largest bell in the tower, previously named the “Great Bell.”

Big Ben first chimed on 31 May 1859

The clock’s time is adjusted annually with an old British penny. If fast a penny is added to the pendulum, slow-one is removed.

The royal tombs and Poets Corner are some of the more famous tombs, but there are over 450 tombs and monuments in Westminster Abbey

There is a statue of a Bearded women commemorated in the Lady Chapel of Henry VII Of St. Wilgeforte Said to have grown a beard after

praying to be made repulsive to escape a forced marriage.
