Maia designer worksurfaces are attractive and durable, representing a truly innovative solid surface alternative to natural stone.

Available in a variety of exciting colour options, all maia work surfaces are heat resistant to 180ºC, impenetrable to dust, dirt and bacteria and easy to clean. This product can be fitted on site by kitchen fitters.

Toughened (or tempered) glass is a great option for splashbacks. It is heat resistant to 220 degrees celsius making it extremely durable. Our splashbacks wrap around the kitchen above the worktops and are available in complimentary colours.

Our M1 cabinet is constructed using coreboard meeting the rigorous demands of BS EN 312 Type P2. Added to that, this carcase also has the prestigious FIRA Gold Award as a further recognition of quality.

Cabinet specifications

1 90º concealed clip-on hinges are fitted to all kitchens of this carcase type. The hinge is a metal sprung hinge system, with three-way adjustable cruciform plates. All corner units are also fitted with 90º hinges.

2 Hanging brackets are an optional feature on wall units.

3 The HDF backs on all Primitivo units are an integral part of the unit construction, giving extra rigidity. They are stapled to the back of the unit with voids between the back of the unit and the back panel being:

Base units = 65.5mm

Wall units = 16.5mm

Tall units (600 deep) = 65.5mm

4 All Primitivo carcases are manufactured from high density, fine surface 15mm coreboard to BS EN 312 Type P2. A hardwearing 80g/m2 melamine finish is standard, with all exposed edges melamine lipped to prevent cracking and water penetration.

5 Shelves are adjustable for height and are held in position with self-retaining bearers. Shelves in double wall and base units are supported in 6 positions (centrally front and back as well as both ends), to prevent deflection under heavy loads. Shelves are lipped on all edges with melamine lipping.

6 Door fronts can easily be detached from units and replaced with new.

7 The Metabox drawer is a unique design which features white epoxy-coated steel sides and steel back, significantly enhancing the strength and longevity of the system. A fully-lipped 15mm MFC drawer base eliminates the potential for moisture ingress. Runners are all metal with double nylon rollers. The Tandem with soft close drawer box system is also available.

8 Base unit plinths are removable to allow access to base panel locating brackets, adjustable feet and pipework, as well as for cleaning and maintenance. The plinths supplied are continuous.

9 All base and tall units are supplied with adjustable legs. For single base units, 4 legs are supplied and for double base units, 5 legs are supplied. The maximum height of the leg is 170mm and minimum height is 135mm.

10 Muntins on base units are manufactured from foil wrapped MDF (width: 30mm, depth: 60mm). Front rails on base units are melamine lipped in the same colour as the carcase ends. Muntins on wall units are manufactured from MFC (width: 55mm, depth: 22mm).
