There is more coal available underground in our country than there is natural gas.

No processing/refining required, good to use after mining.

Coal energy output is very high, over twice the output that wood gives.

More Coal Mining, more jobs, More money.

More coal mines means more jobs.

Mining coal will reduce our dependency on fuels that come from other countries, thus saving money.

Making Coal Environmentally Safe Although coal mining can be

hazardous, modern technology allows for safer and environmentally better mining.

Harmful gasses released by coal mining, such as Methane, can be in turn harvested as well for our profit.

Coal mining is Temporary, and the land being mined will be restored.

It’s there, we just gotta dig it! Coal is there, and it’s plentiful. To ignore the coal resources under the

earth would mean to take out an energy source that would save us billions.

Coal has positive aspects that greatly override the negative ones.
