World Changers Invade to Serve Muncie By Chris Hubler
Over 180 World Changers came from as far as California and Maryland to Muncie this year, July 20
th – 25
th, to share the love of Jesus
through working on various projects in needed areas of the city. The projects ranged from roofing houses to painting baseball diamond fences in the park. World Changers has a goal of spreading the gospel 25,000 times in 2015. The World Changers group serving in Muncie added to that goal over 100 times and saw two
salvations as a result of their witnessing.
Bruce Reynolds, Senior Pastor of Old Town Hill Baptist Church in Muncie, served as the Associational Coordinator, and Chris Hubler, Senior Pastor of New Day Baptist Church with campuses in Alexandria,
Pendleton, and Muncie, was the Construction Coordinator. The World Changers were housed at Old Town Hill Baptist Church and several volunteers from the church helped to feed the large crew each day.
Check out the video at Muncie World Changers.

Please continue to pass the word that there is still room for at least four more female students at the BCM House. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to stay in an affordable Christian environment right next to the Ball State University campus. Contact the BCE, Jeremy Cowin at 317-227-9603 or [email protected] for questions or more information. Visit our new website at http://www.ballstatebcm.com.

Old Town Hill Baptist Church Hosts International Missions Board Missionaries Mike and Diana Wendell
By Kay Wilson
Old Town Hill Baptist Church had the honor to “Welcome Home” IBM Missionaries, Mike and Diana Wendell. Mike and Diana are Old Town Hil l Baptist Church
members who felt called to the mission field many years ago. Their service has taken them far from Muncie, Indiana. They served in Peru for t e n y e a r s , Mongolia for ten years and, lastly, in Korea. They are currently on leave and seeking what God would have them do next. Please remember Mike and Diana in
your prayers as they seek God’s guidance for their lives.
Kingston Avenue Baptist adult leaders have been on a “Journey.” Along the way they picked up several children from KABC and also neighborhood children.
The journey began on July 14th.
It was an exciting adventure and filled with scripture verses, Bible stories, music, games, crafts, and snacks
Zach and Leah Clement, youth ministry leaders, hosted the Backyard Bible Club. Robin and Jim Hart took on the leadership roles. Several from KABC came along side to make the few days a great success.
On the journey were several children from nearby neighborhoods. They all enthusiastically participated in learning about Jesus, singing and memorizing Bible verses. The first day the leaders h a n d e d o u t N e w Testaments to each child in their take home bags. The next day one of our Hispanic little girls returned and told her leader, “It’s going to take me a long time to read that book you
gave me.”
Praise God, the Bible was in her hands and she had started reading.
The journey has begun for many of the attendees. Some were hearing, for the first time, the name of Jesus who is our guide on the journey.

Old Town Hill Baptist Church VBS JOURNEY OFF THE MAP
Redeemer Youth Spend Busy Summer Serving and Learning By Pat Storm
Page 5 VOLUME 29, ISSUE 8
The Youth at Redeemer Baptist Church have had a very busy summer. The summer started off, right after school was out, with the youth helping with Vacation Bible School at their church. Each one was strategically placed so that they could watch and learn and prepare for teaching the class at Second Chance
Baptist Church a few weeks later. From July 5
th – 10
th the youth taught
VBS classes at Second Chance. More than 50 children attended. Youth Director, Lucresia Storm, said that she was so proud of them. “They had several kids in their classes that would have challenged adult teachers and they handled it very well.” Youth, Montana Norrick, shared how impressed she was with the kids. “Some of them didn’t even know who Jesus was but they learned quickly and were giving the correct answers to our questions after the first day.” Other students teaching along with
Montana included, Lenzie Evans, Reanna Fisher, Ryan Fisher, Jessica Mercer, Alyssa Misner, Amber Morgan, Autumn Morgan, Lacie Roberts, and Deasia White.
In-between Vacation Bible Schools, the Youth went on a mission trip to Hamilton, Ohio. They worked at the New Life Mission, passing out flyers, going on prayer walks, serving food, playing with children, talking with adults, hosting a movie night, and even painting fingernails of the women and
girls who wanted them done. And, they shared Jesus every opportunity they had plus helped out at the mission any way they could. One day, they did get
to take a side trip to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky.
But summer would not be complete without Super JAM Camp. The youth attended camp from July 21
st to 25
th. Learning to share Jesus
through Arts and Music is something they all enjoy. It was a busy summer not only for the youth but also for the adults who worked alongside of them. Special thanks goes to Lucresia Storm and Don and Joanna Sweigart plus all of the adults at Redeemer who supported them with money and prayers.

Region of Indiana for the State Convention of Baptist in Indiana. Additionally, he has had a number of "intentional interims," helping churches as they sought new pastors.
Jim and DeAnna have taken many missions trips to Mexico, Guatemala, and Africa, and Jim had been involved with long-term mission work going on in Susab, Haiti since 1997.
His denominational activities include serving as President for Indiana's Pastors’ Conference, serving as First Vice President for both Ohio State Convention and State Convention of Baptists in Indiana, serving as Trustee to Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, serving on the State Executive Board in both Ohio and Indiana, directing and teaching
Oklahoma Baptist University Extension classes in Indiana, as well as, Boyce Bible College Extension classes in Ohio.
Jim was married to DeAnna for 44 ½ years. They have two grown sons, John Eric (Melissa) Downey and Bradley Downey. He greatly enjoyed being the grandfather of his four grandchildren: Abi, Mady, Eli, and Tali.
Charles Adams, or "Charlie," as most people called him, surrendered his life to Jesus in 1953, at a small Southern Baptist Mission in Huntingburg, Indiana and served his Lord and Savior anyway he could for the rest of his life. He was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Huntingburg. He was ordained as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Indianapolis in 1961, and served as a deacon at Kingston Avenue Baptist Church and Redeemer Baptist
Church in Anderson. He was a faithful Adult Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Director, Church Training Director, and also served as Assistant Music Director. He also would occasionally preach at his own church and other churches and missions. He was also a Gideon for several years.
This August 7th, he and his wife,
Mary, would have been married 66 years. They have five daughters, Pat (Phil) Storm, Middletown, IN; Cindy (JD) Traylor, Hanover, IN; Pam Stafford, Anderson, IN; Marilyn (Ron) Roehr, Marion, IN and Carolyn (Danny) Glover, Anderson, IN. They also have fifteen grandchildren. Their daughter, Pat, is the Administrative Assistant for ECBA. She and her sister, Pam, are members at Redeemer Baptist Church (one of our ECBA churches). Their daughter, Cindy, is the wife of J. D. Traylor, pastor of Hanover Baptist Church (one of our SCBI churches).
