Diffusion• Because of its wide influence on multiple cultures, Eastern
Orthodox is a universal religion.• When the Catholic Church split in the 11th century, Orthodox
began its diffusion in Eastern Europe.• Today, it has spread into Russia and some parts of Western Asia.
