Cell Wall and Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum
Cell Wall under a Microscope
Plant Cell Wall
• Plant cells, fungi cells, and some prokaryotic cells have the cell wall
• The cell wall is located around the outside of the plasma membrane
• The cell wall provides support and protects the cell
• If the cell was a factory then the cell wall would be the concrete and brick for the factory

Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum under a microscope
Smooth Endoplasmic reticulum
• A highly folded membrane
• All eukaryotic cells have the smooth endoplasmic reticulum
• The smooth endoplasmic reticulum is located near the nucleus of the cell
• Its function is to produce proteins
• If the cell was a factory it would be the workers of the factory making the product
