• His work is inspired by his culture and he was also inspired by his fathers paintings
• In his work he creates a paradox between nature, beauty and destruction

• Cai specializes in the use of gunpowder and other explosives in his work
• Intrigued by the power and beauty of destruction
• Describes his work as “romantic but poisonous”
