We can write a fraction of a whole in different ways
• Numbers like ½ and ¾ are called common fractions.
• Numbers like 0,5 and 0,75 are called decimal fractions,
because their denominators are powers of ten (and deci –
means a tenth of)
We can use a place value chart to read and understand
decimal fractions.
Write 26, 38 in words in two different ways.
Answer : Twenty six comma three eight or
Twenty six and thirty eight hundreths.
