I attributed my success to the plethora of support from my team mate, Jessie, as well as my new friends, Erma and Larry. By the end of the game, me team and we ended up with seven goals

I dedicate this book to my best friend Georgia Batson that I have known for eight and a half years. I also dedicate this book to my wonderful family, especially my parents.

One hot day the sun smiled on me as I wandered out to my backyard to find a friend. CRASH! I looked high and low, but found no one until I heard a trembling voice calling my name. “Help, Nicole, help!”

I passed the ball to my good friend, Jessie, who was in left mid position. Jessie kicked the ball back to me and I booted the ball over the goalie’s head and into the goal. SCORE!!! Erma and Larry were so energized that they almost fell out of my pockets with their enthusiasm.

I did not behold her at first but then I spotted the sound coming from a rock. I picked it up and the rock told me, “My name is Erma.”. Its “fantastic to meet you, Erma,” I said in a laughable voice.

They became my biggest supporters!” My biggest the referee blew his whistle to signal the start of the game. My coach appointed me to be in right mid position. The ball was kicked and quickly passed to me. My feet flew as fast as a hummingbird wings. I could hear Erma and Larry yelling their support as I raced up the field towards the other team’s goal. BOOM!

I asked Erma to spend the day with me and come to my soccer game. She began by assisting me to style my hair and get ready for my game. Erma fixed my hair in a phenomenal braid using ribbons the color of my soccer team. After I donned all my soccer gear, my mom drove Erma and me to the soccer field. While we were traipsing to the grassy area, Erma suddenly said, “Stop!” I halted because there was another rock on the path. Erma told me that this rock’s name was Larry.

My coach called to me to scurry our to their warm up before the game started in ten minutes. I invited Larry to accompany me along with Erma to watch my soccer game. Larry asked me if it would it be acceptable to stay in the pocket of my shorts while I competed in my soccer game?” I agreed ecstatically, but only if Erma remained in the other pocket. Erma was agreeable to that idea.

Erma sprung off my shoulder and landed on the field excited to see her old friend. “Larry, it is great to see you again! I have thought about you for a long time and here you are! How did you end up here?” she exclaimed. Larry responded, that he became trapped in a boy named Tobin’s soccer shoe and when he was running, he fell out again. Erma giddily replied “I am so ecstatic because I did not think I would ever see you again!”

Erma introduces me as her new found and very good friend.. She explained that I just picked her up from my rock garden at my house because she was very despondent over not chatting with my closest friend.
