WHAT IT IS & THINGS TO KNOW

UMBCworks is an online database system that UMBC provides to students and faculty to help them locate and successfully apply for positions, in the workplace.

If you can login to “MyUMBC” you can access UMBCworks.

Have your resume edited/reviewed and updated –so that you can upload into “documents” when you enter UMBC works.

Step #1

Once you have internet access, go to the UMBC website: www.umbc.edu, and click “myUMBC” icon to login.

Once logged in:• Place arrow on “TOPICS”• Click “JOBS AND INTERNSHIPS” on the drop-down menu• Click on “UMBCworks” icon

• place arrow on “jobs” and click “UMBCworks” • (optional): If haven’t already, update “profile” and download resume onto “documents” before you go to “jobs”

•Click on a job title that your interested in applying for•From there read job info. and click “submit” and you have successfully applied for a position!

CONCLUSION Apply for any more jobs that you wish. If you have questions and concerns, the

Shriver Center is the place to go on campus. Make an appointment with a career advisor, if needed.
