There isn’t a strict formula as to how far you go with your education but having at least a Bachelor’s in Writing may help with employment

No certificates required but having a membership from the American Society of Media Photographers can benefit at a professional stance

Must keep a portfolio of previous works to advertise to future clients and such

Must be willing to work in high pressure situations

From the years 2012-2022 the business will rise 4% which is lower than the average rate

It is lower because of the decrease in newspapers and magazines being produced and increase in online databases etc.

This also opens up new opportunities for the journalists in a way to display their works through a new source

The potential earnings for a Photojournalist vary from whichever agency you may be contracted to or if you just sell on the go.
