BACKGROUND
Tragic Internal Displacement in the year 1990.
Displacement resulted in many Difficulties/Problems.
Health issues – unfavorable living conditions & stress resulted in multiple disease & infections .
The living condition & stress gave rise to Stress, Hypertension, Infections , Diabetes, Heart ailments , Renal failures , Digestive disorders, Liver ailments etc .
The diseases are thrice in displaced KP community than National average.
Economical plight drove to delayed diagnosis & delayed medical intervention makes them suffer & seek medical treatment only when it is too late.
The mortality rate of such patients high.

TRUST FORMATION
Tragic accident of young KP boy led the community around Globe to work together & seek funds for his treatment.
Subsequent few additional unfortunate cases strengthened belief in community level working .
In 2009 tragic death of an infant due to delayed treatment drove few members to form Trust to prevent recurrence.
Trust formed in 2009 & Registered in 2010 vide registration no 3959/2010-11 .
Donations allegeable to income tax exemption under u/s 80G of Income Tax Act 1961.

MISSION OF KMECT
Fund community IDP’s by payment to treating Hospitals .
Provide referral service to patients from eminent panel of doctors
Provide Guidance for treatment & reference of preferred hospitals
Provide medical sustenance post intervention to poor patients

Provide immediate relief as Time is essence of treatment.
Trust proposes right hospital/doctor , many times advice is ignored.
Minimum paper work with patient details in prescribed format & required information.
Support in lodging at places of treatment where patient need help.
Free professional advice from panel of specialized team of Doctors where ever required .
Strategic health related monitoring from panel of doctors as and when required.
Key personalities forming panel of advisers provide advice as required .

AGENDA Trustees & Associate members across locations coordinate with Patients &
their family.
The Trust has made arrangements with many philanthropic organizations for providing the support to the needy.
All trustees , advisors , doctors , associates etc work on honorary basis with zeal & self service ( Nishkam Sewa is the mantra )
Trust is non political, charitable organization without any political association what so ever .
Trust operation is transparent, open & all financial transactions are put on internet & web site .
Donors desiring to remain anonymous are handled confidentially.

PROCEDURE FOR FIANCIAL AID Patients submit
Detailed coherent case summary from treating Doctor,
copies of investigation reports,
treatment and prognosis,
Patient Data Form (Application Form) can be down loaded from the website http://www.kmect.org/ (Under Revamping & Re-Construction)
The application is scrutinized; the authenticity of the case is verified.
If desired by the KMECT team, the review by our panel of Doctors is obtained.
Application is processed for funding.
The funds are released direct to hospital / Chemist.
Quantum of funds released, subject to the availability of the funds & the number of patients being served at any given point of time & requirement of the patient.
Funding & its quantum is the sole discretion of the Trust
KMECT does not fund- Buying / Selling of any human organ, which is un-lawful -.

REFERRAL SERVICES
Patients desirous to go to right doctor/hospital or need second opinion
Referral services provided free by Doctors on panel of the Trust.
PROCEDURE
Patients submit ;
Detailed coherent case summary from treating Doctor,
copies of investigation reports,
treatment and prognosis,
Doctors on KMECT panel study this & their advice forwarded to the patient.
Where ever required & possible, the appointments fixed for the patient by KMECT team.

The first to provide direct payments to hospitals / chemists etc.
Ensure funds get utilized for the purpose they are meant for.
Parmahansa Yogananda Charitable Trust, Ahmadabad regular donations
KOA – USA tied up with KMECT to support the cause.
In its AGM’s, Raised US$ 35,000/- & US$ 25,000/- for KMECT.
KOA - Canada also has raised about INR 6.00 Lacs funds to support KMECT
KPA-UAE supports the cause with periodical contributions and recently in May 2018 transferred direct foreign funds to KMECT.

Slogan Competition during Navreh Program at Hari Parbat ,Aganpur Faridabad in year 2011.
Harmony Cricket Cup Chandigarh. Yearly tournaments to raise the funds.
Kashmir Premier League Cup, GurgaonYearly Tournament to raise funds. Last year in 2017-18 more than INR 7.00 Lacs were raised.
Yekjah Cricket Cup, Pune to raise funds.
KP- Singapore in May, 18 played a friendly cricket tournament to raise on spot funds for KMECT.
KP- Botswana raising funds periodically for the cause.
