My Opinion

Citizens should not have the right to purchase and own assault weapons.

With the exception of soldiers serving in our military

What is an assault weapon? Any type of firearm that can fire full-auto

Why are they banned?

Suspected criminal use Very deadly weapon

Military Use

Our military uses them to defend our country

Criminal and terrorist Use Criminal and terrorist organizations

Hunting weapons vs. Assault weapons Civilians can buy semi-auto hunting

weapons legally

Differences between hunting weapons and assault weapons

Assault weapons can be selected to fire full auto or single shot

hunting weapons cannot fire full auto

Cannot purchase full-auto weapons or convert semi to full auto

Assault weapons are not as powerful as most hunting rifles used for large game

Assault weapons are not commonly used for crimes in the US

Most shooting incidents are not involved with assault weapons
