Message from the East

Greeting my Bothers,

As we start the new year, I would like to thank each of you for the confidence that you have shown by electing me your Worshipful Master for 2019. I would also like to thank Worshipful Beau Cisco for his leadership, friendship and brotherhood - not just over the past year, but for as long as I have known him. Whenever I needed to approach Worshipful Beau about something re-lated to Lodge, he was always available - and when I needed to approach him for a different perspective on personal matters, he always made time to offer counsel as well. To that effect, my gratitude is also extended to all of the Broth-ers who embody these core values.

While 2018 has come to a close, I look forward to the opportunities which we will enjoy in 2019 as a Lodge. Meals, meetings, fellowship and charitable in-volvement - these are opportunities which can continue to bring us together as Brothers.

To this effect, I want to ensure that the Brethren are aware that Bykota's instal-lation will take place on Saturday, January 12, 2019; we will enjoy coffee and donuts at 10:00am; installation will take place at 11:00am; and lunch will follow the installation.

Bykota will continue to host monthly breakfasts, and we will also be enjoying dinner before our Stated Communications - please remember that Masons and non-Masons are invited to enjoy a fine meal together, and that everyone is wel-come during the first few minutes as we begin our meetings while we partake in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of our great nation and for introductions.

Since we have enjoyed great participation and success in the past, Bykota will continue the tradition of Charity Card Night which began under Worshipful Bill Comer; we will be taking a break in January while we continue setting the foun-dation for the rest of the year, but we will resume this activity on Monday, Feb-ruary 18.

In the coming months, members from Bykota will visit each Lodge in our Dis-trict, and we will also travel to the Masonic Home for Pilgrimage Day. Please be in attendance at our regular meetings if your individual circumstances permit since your participation and input are valued. Please do not hesitate to contact me or your Lodge officers if you need a ride to Lodge (or if we can otherwise be of assistance).

Yours in fellowship,

Matthew Johnson, Worshipful Master 2019

Message from the South

Greetings Brothers,

From the South first allow me to thank you for your vote of confidence in electing me to serve as your Junior Warden for the 2019 term. I am very honored and ex-cited to give back to this lodge that has given me so much over the past 5 years.

Along with the SW and Worshipful Master, we have many exciting opportunities for you to come to and share in fellowship with your Brothers. I know the task be-fore me is not one to be taken lightly and I will need all the help I can get.

That my Brothers is where you come in. I hope I get the opportunity to meet many of you and hear your suggestions on how our leadership can best serve you and our Lodge as a whole. I encourage you to attend out regular meetings as well as the Fellowship nights that we have established as the 4th Monday of every month for great food and activities.

Our lodge is growing and improving daily and it can only get better with your help. I look forward to a great year of Fun , Fellowship and Freemasonry. Yours in Service

Walter Arnett, Junior Warden 2019

Message from the West

Brothers,

I would like to start the year by thanking each and every member of the lodge as there is no better feeling than winning an election where you receive every vote (and shhh to anyone mentioning that I ran unopposed). My confidence level during balloting was at an all time high and I had a sneaky suspicion that I would come out victorious! I don’t think I have ever been happier on my Ma-sonic journey than I am now being in the West as my year in the South with no stewards seemed like it lasted 24 months. I would like to congratulate JPM Beau Cisco for a great year in the East and welcome WM Matthew Johnson to the East.

I am excited for 2019 and confident that our newly raised brothers will become a big part of Bykota for years to come. Now that my time will be freed up from working in our kitchen I am going to focus 2019 on raising meeting attendance raising new brothers, and lodge participation of existing members. We have great core group of men leading this lodge and we have the same 15-18 guys at every meeting but in a lodge with 150 members we can definitely do better. If you would like to come to meetings/dinners/breakfasts but ardent able to because of transportation issues, you can reach out to me directly and I will arrange transportation for you or bring you myself if need be.

I must also ad that I will be continuing to lead Charity Card Night and it will be held the 3rd Monday of every month, starting in Feburary.

Fraternally,

Joe Harvey, Senior Warden 2019
