History!

• The Battle of the Waxhaw’s is the name of the battle that took place during the American Revolution, on May 29, 1780 in South Carolina. They fought with the American colonist .A patriot force led by Abraham Buford and a loyalist force led by Banastre Tarleton. After the reports of Banastre ignoring the surrender of Buford's troops, the American colonist began calling it “The Waxhaw

Massacre”.

Interaction with Colonists!

• The native Americans endured centuries of conflict with the colonists. The colonists and native Americans had not gotten along. Their interaction was not anywhere near peaceful. The had wars one called “The Waxhaw massacre.

• The Columbian Exchange was one of the most significant events in history, it was the trading of plants, animals, foods, and ideas. The Columbian Exchange greatly affected almost every society on earth.

• As time goes on the Waxhaw Indian Tribe was almost annihilated by disease. Leaving the South Carolina land area almost empty. There are few left, but they haven’t moved from where they originally were.

Opinions!

• The Waxhaw Indian Tribe didn’t agree with the National Policy Of Removal of Native Americans. Although some Native Americans were able to escape the removal.

• Congress authorized $500,000 to carry out this act, and the pace of removal accelerated dramatically.

• Treaties negotiated in the aftermath of the War of 1812 had already reduced the Native American population.
