SELF-ETCH SIMPLICITY

The following clinical case illustrates the use of a self-etch adhesive system for a patient wishing toreplace an amalgam restoration in the upper left firstmolar. The treatment choice was a direct compositerestoration. ALL-BOND SE was selected as the bond-ing agent because it maintains a secure seal to preventmicroleakage and thus help prevent post-operative sensitivity while reducing chairtime.

Remove amalgam restorationand isolate tooth with a rubber dam.

Mix ALL-BOND SE until uniformly pink.

Place ALL-BOND SE onenamel and dentin. Agitateand air dry, then light cure for10 seconds.

Place ALL-BOND SE Liner ina very thin layer and lightcure for 10 seconds.

UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITYIN A SELF-ETCH ADHESIVEA major limiting factor in the use of self-etch bonding is theincompatibility of most self-etch adhesives with self- anddual-cured materials.

ALL-BOND SE is compatible with light-, self- and dual-cured materials without the use of any additional activators, freeing dentists who prefer the convenient self-etch bonding process from any procedural limitations.

ALL-BOND SE can be used for indirectapplications or with self- or dual-cured composites and cements and does notrequire extra steps to achieve compatibility.

THE NEW STANDARD IN SELF-ETCH BONDING

INCREASED FLEXIBILITY

ALL-BOND SE provides universal compatibility, addedbond strength, a color change indicator ensuring a propermix and other unique characteristics that give dentists all-new flexibility in providing patients with quality treatmentusing a self-etch bonding agent.

RADIOPAQUE RESIN LAYER FOR EASY IDENTIFICATION ON RADIOGRAPHS

Another advantage of the ALL-BOND SE Liner is that it isradiopaque, allowing the adhesive layer to be identifiedwhen viewed on X-rays in areas where adhesives com-monly pool. The radiopacity assists in reducing the risk ofmisdiagnosing caries.

ADDED BOND STRENGTH AND RELIABILITY

ALL-BOND SE was developed to provide superior bondstrength from a self-etch adhesive. With the additional useof ALL-BOND SE Liner, added strength and support to thebond interface can be achieved, especially important in larger restorations. As a hydrophobic layer, ALL-BOND SELiner acts as an additional barrier in preventing permeabilityof the bond interface. This improves the duration andintegrity of the bond.

This Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)image shows a perfect coupling of ALL-BOND SE Liner with the ALL-BOND SEAdhesive and dentin. Ideal sealing fordentin under a reduced step application.

REDUCED PATIENT POST-OPERATIVE SENSITIVITY

The use of ALL-BOND SE effectively reduces or eliminatesthe potential for post-operative sensitivity. ALL-BOND SEworks with the smear layer in maintaining a secure seal toprevent microleakage and fluid movement, ensuring yourpatients will not experience post-operative sensitivity.

ACE ALL-BOND SE* is the innovative, hand-held, all-in-one

adhesive system that lets you etch, prime and bond in one

simple application. ALL-BOND SE is a light-cured self-etching

adhesive available in a convenient cartridge delivery that fits

into the ACE dispenser. ACE takes the guess work out of every

procedure by accurately dispensing the correct proportion of

material for predictable results every time.
