ACCOUNT SET-UP & DRAW APPLICATION GUIDEPLAN AHEAD: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO GET SET UP AND APPLY FOR THE DRAW

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) transitioned to a new integrated licensing, pass and reservation system. This upgraded system is now a one-stop shop for all items that can be purchased from CPW, including parks passes and hunting and fishing licenses. DON’T TRY LOGGING INTO THE SYSTEM JUST YET! The following pages will help you learn how to set up your account, as a new or existing CPW customer. ALL CUS-TOMERS will need their CID (Customer Identification number), driver’s license or other unique identifier to create an online account. A unique email is no longer required for login, meaning families can now use the same email address for all purchases and applications. If you run into any account issues at all, please call us 24/7 at 1-800-244-5613.

COLORADO CAMPING CUSTOMERSIf you’ve made a camping reservation through Reserve America, your username and password will work in our system. Go to “Set Up Your Account Now: Exist-ing CPW Customers,” page 2.

EXISTING HUNTERS & ANGLERSIf you’ve purchased a hunting or fishing license from CPW before, you’ll have an account with us, but not a username or password. You’ll need to look up your existing CPW record with your Customer Identifica-tion number (CID) — printed on a previous license — birthdate and a unique identifier (e.g. a driver’s license or passport).Please find your existing account, so your preference point(s) and draw history will transfer into the new system. DON’T CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT.If you can’t find your previous CID or have any ac-count issues, please call 1-800-244-5613. Go to “Set Up Your Account Now: Existing CPW Customers,” page 2.

NEW CPW CUSTOMERS: If you’ve never purchased a license from CPW or made a camping reservation through Re-serve America before, you’ll need to set up a new pro-file, entering your contact and identification informa-tion the first time you use the system. Go to “Set Up Your Account Now: New CPW Customers,” page 10.

APPLY FOR THE DRAW Paper applications for the draw are no longer accept-ed; all applications must be completed online or by phone. Customers are strongly encouraged to create an online account. Go to “Apply for the Draw: March 1−April 3,” page 18.

SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT NOW: EXISTING CPW CUSTOMERS

If you have a camping reservation account through Reserve America, your existing login name and pass-word will work with us. If you can’t remember your Reserve America login or password, click “forgot your password” to reset it.

Once you have successfully logged in, you’ll be asked to confirm your account information. Make sure all of the information is correct: It’s the information that will appear on your camping reservation, park pass and/or license. Go to page 18 on how to apply for the draw.

The next page will ask you for some identifying information. Select the UNIQUE IDENTIFIER you want to use from the list of options, such as a Colorado DRIVER’S LICENSE or a CID (Customer Identification number, print-ed on a previously purchased hunting or fishing license). Then enter your DATE OF BIRTH and click CONTINUE.

If you can’t find your CID number, contact us 24/7 at 1-800-244-5613.

The system will pull up your existing account information and take you to the YOUR ACCOUNT FOUNDpage. Here, you’ll be able to create your password for your account. Click CONTINUE to go to the next page.If your information is not found, please contact us at 1-800-244-5613 for assistance accessing your account.

You’ll be asked to confirm your ACCOUNT DETAILS (personal information, unique identifier, email, contact details, address and a few other items).

Make sure everything is correct: It’s the information that will appear on your license and ensures they are mailed to the correct address.

7 Click CONFIRM DETAILS at the bottom right of the page, and you’ll be taken to your new CPW ACCOUNT SUMMARY page.

Here you can view your orders, check your prefer-ence point levels, update your account information and start making purchases.

You’ll be asked to fill in some PERSONAL INFORMATION to create your account, including your name, date of birth and a UNIQUE IDENTIFIER, such as a driver’s license or passport number.

You’ll also enter an EMAIL ADDRESS and a PASSWORD to be associated with your account.

6 If you plan to apply for or buy a hunting or fishing license, you’ll need to enter some additional information, as required by law: GENDER, HEIGHT, HAIR COLOR, WEIGHT, EYE COLOR, AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.

You’ll be taken to your new CPW ACCOUNT SUMMARY page.Here you can view your orders, check your preference point levels, update your account information and start making purchases.

SIGN IN to your account; you’ll need to CONFIRM DETAILS before arriving at your account summary page. (This is one way for you to keep your personal information current.)

From your ACCOUNT SUMMARY page, on the blue ban-ner menu, hover your mouse over LICENSING to open the drop-down menu. Under the GO HUNTING option, select BIG GAME & TURKEY.

You’ll now be on the BIG GAME APPLICATION INFOR-MATION page. All of the species you can apply for through the draw will be listed here.Youth are considered to be the age they are on the date they submit their draw application.

Click on the species you’d like to apply for, then select the “Applications: License Year 2018” option by clicking the APPLY NOW button to the right.

You’ll be asked if you’re hunting in a group, as the group leader, or not hunting in a group. If you’re hunting in a group, go to cpw.state.co.us/CPWshop for detailed instructions on applying for group hunts. Otherwise, select “I am not hunting in a group” and click PROCEED.

Fill in the hunt codes for your top four hunt choices, and/or your preference point code. Also select your unsuccessful op-tion, if applicable. Click the CONFIRM CHOICES button to the right.

Next you’ll be asked to confirm your hunt code and/or prefer-ence point choices. Click ADD TO CART.7

8 Enter your Hunter Education number and state from your card on the next page. If your Hunter Ed number is already verified in Colorado, this screen will not show, or it may ask for partial information. (If verified, a “V” is printed next to your Hunter Ed number on a previous license).



9 If you haven’t yet purchased a 2018 Habitat Stamp ($10), one will be automatically added at this point, if applicable. Click OK.

If you already have a Habitat Stamp, this screen won’t appear, and you can just click ADD TO CART AND CHECKOUT.



The SHOPPING CART page will show you which application(s) you’re submitting, the total charges at $3 per application and the Habitat Stamp fee (if applicable). You can apply for more than one species, at $3 per application, by clicking CONTINUE SHOPPING. You can also PROCEED TO CHECKOUT.

On the CHECKOUT page, you’ll enter your credit card payment for the applications (and Habitat Stamp, if applicable).

You’ll also be able to enter credit card information for how you’ll pay if you’re awarded a license in the draw. Click SUBMIT PAYMENT.

Navigate back to your ACCOUNT SUMMARY PAGE, where you can view your orders and make appli-cation corrections before the deadline (APRIL 3 for bighorn sheep, mountain goats and big game):

Click on DRAWS in your dashboard to the left, and there will be an option to MODIFY APPLICATION in each of your applications to the right, if neccesary.

12 The next page will show you that your order is complete. You can print this page for your records; you’ll also receive a confirmation email shortly.
