Next to our other commodities such as metals, project cargo, soft commodities and steel, Paper & Pulp and other related forest products have become an important and growing business for us.

The Steinweg Group operates an international network of ocean terminals and warehouses. Some of these com-panies are specialists in storage, handling and forwarding of Paper and Pulp. We operate well suited facilities with the right equipment, the right systems and most importantly the right people offering the necessary know-how.

As a pure logistics service provider we add value through the supply chain by efficient cargo handling and solid logistic solutions. Additionally we act as the trusted warehouse keeper in collateral financing agreements and are a recognized partner to banks that are active in trade and commodity financing (TCF).

C. Steinweg was founded in 1847 in Rotterdam by Constantin Steinweg and has always remained a privately owned company. During these years we developed into the multinational logistics group we are today while maintaining our status as independent company.

Who we are

C. Steinweg - Paper & Pulp

Durban / South Africa: C. Steinweg Bridge has specialized in the transportation, warehousing and shipping of various commodities for over 30 years. For the Paper & Pulp business this has led to a brand new facility in Dur-ban. Our rail connected warehouse capacity for paper and pulp has expanded to 47000sqm by Sept 2020 and the estimated handling volume is well over 1 Mln tpa.

Szczecin / Poland: In Szczecin in Poland we have been already active in Fluff Pulp for many years and on average we are stevedoring and handling 350k tpa. Services include the full package from receiving vessels, stevedoring, customs clearance and inland transportation to the various paper factories in the region.

Leghorn / Livorno / Italy: Here we handle Paper and Pulp in containers at our own 5000m2 location offering handling, warehousing and forwarding. Commodities handled are copy paper and kraft top from the Far East and the USA, as well as Fluff pulp and reeled w.pulp from the USA.

Hamburg / Germany: We have our own ocean terminal in the port of Hamburg with a maximum maximum draft of 11,50m. We specialize in the handling and storage of forest products such as pulp bales, paper reels of palle-tized cargoes. This includes reloading ex storage on to trucks or railcars or the stuffing/stripping of containers. We have highly experienced staff, special handling equipment such as forklifts with automatic clamping pressure control and barcode labelling in dedicated storage areas.

Other main locations: In Rotterdam we operate 4 breakbulk/ conventional ocean terminals with onsite ware-house capacity, and in Vietnam and Dubai we have suitable inland warehousing operations. In these and other locations like Koper (SI) we handle these products and are very interested to receive more enquiries for handling Paper or Pulp.

Origins / Seafreight: From origin ports in Brazil and in Russia we are actively involved in offering ocean freight and are now participating in tenders for future exports volumes in the Paper and Pulp sector. Combined with our abovementioned destination / warehousing services, Steinweg can offer global logistics solutions from Origin to Market.
