Faculty of Management Studies Wadhwan City

The Faculty of Management Studies had organized ‘UDAAN 2017’- a one day event to test

the managerial skills of the students on 03/02/2017. The objective of ‘UDAAN 2017’ is to

provide platform for showcasing their managerial acumen in conceptualizing, planning and

execution of the event.

Under the guidance of Dr. Munjal Dave students of MBA & BBA approached more than 18

under graduate colleges to promote the event at district level & make it a grand success.

Students approached for sponsorship to various renowned personalities of the town and

obtained sponsorships in cash and kind. More than 300 participants from colleges like Smt.

S. J. Varmora, M. P. Shah Commerce, C. U. Shah College & Constituent Colleges of C. U.

Shah University participated in the event. Students have organized many fun games and

learned the lessons of Leadership, Planning, Resource Management, Team Work, Time

Management, Conflict Management, Contingency Management and many more.

Inauguration ceremony began with the floral welcome of the dignitaries, Dr. VedVyas

Dwivedi, Provost, C. U. Shah University, Dr. K. H. Wandra, Dean, FTE, Shri Kamleshbhai

Dholakiya, H. R. Executive and Shri D.M.Shah, Dean, Faculty of Commerce. Dr. Munjal

Dave formally welcomed all the dignitaries and explained the rationale behind ‘UDAAN-

2017’. Dr. VedVyas Dwivedi motivated the students with his speech and the famous sayings

of Mr. Barak Obama. Ms. Yashika Shah & Ms. Hetalba Zala co-ordinated the inaugural

ceremony.

Students enthusiastically participated in various games and activities. Winning some and

losing some but learning from all the games. Winners of the games were felicitated by Gold

and Silver Medals, Certificates and different prizes sponsored by our sponsors during the

valedictory function. All the participants of the event were provided with the appreciation

certificate for participating in the event and playing different games with a spirit.

‘UDAAN 2017’ took a break with a motivational speech of Dr. Tejash Pujara wherein he

appreciated the efforts of the organizing team and all the participants for linking with our

institute through such event.

We heartily thank Board of Management, C. U. Shah University, Dr.VedVyas Dwivedi,

Provost, C. U. Shah University for their approval and support.
